The food here is delicious and flavorful! I love ordering the chilaquiles. The portion size is huge, and you will definitely leave this place full! The breakfast potatoes are also so good. Their oat latte is my favorite. Depending on the time and day, this place can get busy. I would call ahead to see what their wait time is. The staff is very nice!

Recommend: had the evf benefits here for breakfast. Overall good, I did not care for potatoes and coffee though, I think some potato pieces were not even fully cooked and could have really used a bit more frying, but that's fine I wanted the benedicts. The atmosphere was fine, and the service was good.

Euro/Mexican breakfast/brunch place; about 50 seats, most at communal tables of 8. Kid friendly, accessible, metered street parking. Fairly lively/noisy. No reservations, but we were seated immediately on Sunday at 10AM and there was space the entire time we dined. Oddity: some of their tables are plastic, and your plate can easily slide away from you! 😁

Thank you so much everyone at Janik's, for hosting my best friends birthday on 11/12. I have been here once before with her, and the staff has always been so so kind. It feels like you are coming to visit your tia. The energy is warm and welcoming, the food is great, and so much colorful art surrounds you in the dining space- it's a fun local diner. They were so lovely to hold a table for 10 for my friend even though weekends are packed! Thank you all so much - everything was perfect! See you next year if you will have us!

We got the ham egg Benedict and the 2 eggs sandwich. The food was very delicious and came out super fast and steaming hot. The staff was very attentive, fast, and very pleasant. The food was not very heavy and was not super greasy (like some breakfast places can be). I’ve passed but this place many times and have never been but through some research I decided to give it a try. And I was quite pleasantly surprised. I can say this place is a hidden gem in wicker park. The family owned business has been around for a while, for a reason. Will definitely be coming back here again. Super delicious food and amazing spot. 10/10 would recommend.

Very friendly service and quick turnaround on food. I ordered the egg and cheese breakfast burrito and it was a little bland, but it came with spicy cilantro sauce that made the burrito delicious. The breakfast potatoes it came with were also on point. Would come back to try something new.

First time here and everything was delicious! The staff is very caring and friendly. I had the turkey and bacon sandwich and the cream chicken soup. I gotta say the food tastes just like homemade. When you’re craving like real food this is the place!!! Live 2 blocks away and never tried it out! My new fav place to brunch ❤️ 10/10

Went here for breakfast yesterday. After a random Google search for a new breakfast spot to try, Janik's caught my eye with the Lox & Bagel platter on the menu. I have passed it many times going to other establishments nearby, but I never even noticed it was there. My lady ordered the Biscuits & Gravy with a mimosa. Everything was excellent. Responsive service, pleasant atmosphere, and great food. We both agreed that this place was worth revisiting for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

I love their chicken tacos! They sell breakfast and lunch all day. Through the week there open 7am to 3. They only have can pop no fountain. They have Coke products. They have Splenda and iced tea. They do have a bunch of seating inside and outside. Their staff was so nice. Very good food!
