Thoroughly enjoyed our trip here. It’s a little confusing when you first walk in, but we figured it out quickly. The food was excellent. We had the green eggs and ham and a bacon egg cheese panini. Both were great. Full of flavor and enough to fill you up. The SOAB smoothie was also really good along with the coffee. Highly recommend.
When you first walk into Peach and Green it can be hard to figure out where to go if it is crowded. I advise if it is your first time to go in when there is nobody in the store. There are 3 separate counters, one for hot sandwiches and salads, one for their buffet, and one for drinks. Why they do this? Nobody knows.
At the hot sandwich counter you can easily see all the food displayed out and can watch a staff member make your sandwich. They only have predetermined sandwiches, but they do have Gluten Free Udi's Whole Grain Bread which makes me very happy. Another plus is she changed her gloves when I told her I wanted gluten free bread! They assemble your sandwich on a cute little chopping board lined with parchment paper. They'll then toast your sandwich and for me I had mine to go and they wrapped it in tinfoil. I wish I got one of their to go boxes and was not just handed a hot off the grill sandwich wrapped in tin foil. In winter that may be good to keep your hands warm but definitely not in summer.
Pricing was okay, it was about $8-11 for a sandwich and some sandwiches are worth your money. For not having to pay extra for Gluten Free bread I would say that even though my food tasted barely above average I definitely got my money's worth.
Would I return? Probably, I am hoping they can do substitutions or modifications for my allergies!
A healthy and fast dining option in the Loop. The juices and smoothies are all so fresh and healthy. I loved the 'build your own' salad option. And the portion sizes are huge! I got two meals out of the 'build your own' salad. Such a treat to have more of these dining options popping up in the Loop.
Very good food. We enjoyed the buffet. Lots of variety.
Fun, eclectic cafe with unique foods and a fun, modern atmosphere! Worth a trip! They have a great selection of smoothies and desserts!
A little on the pricey side, but in this city, what isn't? Popular with students and young people, this place offers an impressive array of dietary-inclusive fare from vegetarian to vegan (and possibly Kosher? Would have to double check.) Take out is available, but the sitting area is a charming and ambient place for a snack or light meal. Good smoothies and quick service.
Great salad bar with lots of options. Their rotisserie chicken is awesome. Menu is pretty diverse and tasty. Prices are fair. If you work nearby, tell them you're a neighbor for a little discount. All in all, it's a great lunch place if you're in the Loop!
One of my new fave lunch spots! This place is vegetarian/vegan friendly with a unique pricing system (by the plate size, not weight, no seconds). I love eating buffet/cafeteria style because there's no wait & you get to see what you're getting. This place keeps its buffet fresh with 10 or so items (so it's not as much variety as a normal buffet) & ingredients clearly labeled. $14 for a large plate, $10 for a medium is not bad with free wifi, outdoor seating & a great lounge atmosphere. My only complaint is that the lack of variety. I've been here twice & the options are pretty much the same, with a few changes.
Absolutely cannot fit all of the positive words to say about Peach and Green. The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxing, and calming. Whether you're coming to get a coffee, grab a quick snack, or sit down for a meal, the location is inviting to all.
It's perfect for visits on your own or with a group of friends. The staff are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.
The food is fresh, healthy, and delicious! The convenience of the location is perfect for those utilizing public transit or even passing by on the street. I highly recommend all to stop in and experience Peach and Green for themselves.
They've recently renovated their layout and it is amazing!
Really delicious. The kind of food you eat, love, and then makes you feel good. Great atmosphere. I had the Chicago Club and it was fantastic. My wife is gluten free and there were a ton of options for her. Would definitely go back.
Their food is very fresh, but I was very surprised on how flavorful everything was. My favorite was they barbecue ribs. They put a sweet Asian sauce on them. There are 3 plates (small, medium, and large) you get to choose. The price you pay depends on which plate you choose. Then you just fill your plate. They have great salads, pastas, chicken, potatoes, curry, and much more to choose. Great coffee from Intelligentsia. Good prices, and they give you a discount for working nearby
First and last time in this restaurant. Confusing ordering/paying system. We ordered our sandwiches at one place, was told we could also order and pay for our drinks there too. The lady gave us a number- we thought they would bring our food to us. Instead she walks over to our table to tell us we have to come pick up our sandwiches and then go to the other counter and order our drinks there. That makes no sense! So then we have to wait another 10 minutes to have 2 strawberry lemonades made- they were not even good. They were way too tart- we had 2 sips each and threw them away. What a waste of $32 dollars!
Update- Just finished lunch there on the owner. She explained that my concerns about confusion were concerns that she had echoed even before my initial review. Owner went above and beyond to reach out and right the situation. Good food and appreciated the above and beyond effort!
I enjoy this place for lunch. They have an extensive menu of sandwiches and salads, many of which include organic ingredients. They also have a hot bar to help yourself to an array of delicious meals. They recently had a makeover and I feel that the flow of the place seems better and some how the restaurant seems larger.
I'm here so often! The staff is amazingly kind and inviting, the food is absolutely delicious and you have a PLETHORA of choices, and the atmosphere is perfect die a quick get away from the office or a meeting with colleagues. One of my favorite coffee/ lunch/ meeting spots in the city!!
This place is such a welcome treat here in the Loop. It has everything you need - breakfast, lunch, coffee, pastries.
The food is excellent tasting and a great value. The biscuits in the morning are huge. Pastries are all made in-house. I'm planning on checking out the delicious-looking lasagna for lunch. Staff are warm and friendly - such a departure from the more too-cool-for-school cafes nearby. And the vibe is laid back, unlike the get-in, get-out nature of other nearby options.
5+++++++++++++
We came here when next door cafe was overcrowded. Nice place, great sweets. Brownie cheesecake was awesome. Giving 4 stars because we asked for coffee to stay in, but got it to go. Stuff was pretty indifferent those day.
