This is the best place for a real Chicago polish or hot dog by far..and the fresh cut fries ole my God they load it .Even cold it taste great but I like it hot ..lol Oh please don't ask for ketchup you'll be turned away ..And there prices are very reasonable they never raised there prices because they know they are the best and other places with there sky high prices can't even compare to this place since I was a kid and now my kids take there kids keeping it in the Family..am the Lugo's

Went to Chicago for the first time in 2016. The store I was working at was right next door to Jimmy Red Hots. I'm from Anderson, SC where Skins is famous for their hot dogs. I can honestly say Jimmy's has the best I sausage dog I have ever had. They wrap it with their famous potatoes. I couldn't get enough. I think I went to lunch there 3 out of the 5 days I was in town. First day I was hooked. It's been 2 years and I still tell people about this place. If I ever get back to Chicago I will definitely be coming back here. Way better than The Varsity in Atlanta.

Not your typical salad on a dog. It’s a great dog though. Perfect snap. $4.50 but comes with loads of fries. I usually don’t eat fries but these were perfectly greasy and fried to a deep brown. They must use an animal fat. People were buying their tamales. I didn’t. Something tells me they’re good.

The most authentic red-hot Chicago style dog I had while in town. Great hotdogs and superb fries at rock bottom prices. Definitely plan to carry away as there's no place to eat except a long counter and they do keep it moving. Cash only, so plan accordingly.

When in town, Jimmy’s is a must! So good! This place is cash only(ATM on site) and there’s a small standing area for eating but, that won’t deter me from enjoying the goods. The red hots were my favorite. Stop in and order a red hot or polish.

Great hot dogs and fries for the price! Can't beat it for sure. Only giving 4 stars though as when I've been there the past two times the hot peppers taste very bitter and not enjoyable as other peppers I had. Not sure if they just had a bad batch but overall pretty good!

Fast service, good food at reasonable price. Been stopping here at least past 30 years. Oh, and so many hot fries covering the sandwich. Definitely get your money's worth.

Love this place! I bought a drink with my polish for the first time and they have grape cool aid. When I tell you that grape cool aid was the perfect addition. Totally with the drive!

THE BEST HOT DOG STAND IN THE CITY!!! Been coming here since I was 4 years old.....over 50 years. I understand Jimmy's daughters are running it now, BRAVO! Doing a great job. Live in Wisconsin now but still have to go into the city for our "Jimmy's fix" 🤣😂 Grabbed 30 yesterday to bring home... order was perfect, t-shirts are awesome and as ALWAYS great hot dogs!! Thank you.
