I love the fish tacos with the red roasted pepper sauce. The elotes weren't that great to me this time around. Usually, they are pretty good.

This place is now one of my favorite loval spots. Their food has so much flavor I’m literally having a mouthgasm with every bite :) It is truly authentic Mexican food. And they don’t skimp on ingredients. Their burritos are gigantic and always super stuffed. They’re also super fast and efficient. Never a wait and no mistakes on any orders I placed with them. I never ate in, I always take it to go. I recommend picking up and eating it right away for best experience. Carbon never disappoints 👌👌👌

The burrito bowls are a lot of food for a good price. They keep fine if you are doing take away. I suggest ordering ahead otherwise the wait is around 10 minutes

Ordered delivery - had me at the first bite. Fish taco was on point. Steak taco perfection. Steak+chorizo taco was so so good. All the salsas were insane. Can’t wait to order again. My new go to for tacos.

The things you find under expressways aren’t always bad. Like Carbón Live Fire Mexican Grill for example. There they are serving up some of Chicago’s best Mexican food. On my visit I tried the Stelote which combines two of my favorite things, tender steak and elotes. All wrapped up in a flour tortilla served with onions, cilantro and crema. Had to try a barbacoa taco as well. Didn’t enjoy it as much as the burrito but still good. Washed it all down with a bottle of Coke from Mexico. Who has two thumbs and was very satisfied? This guy!

Pretty good, I think what I got was called fish of William, chicken taco for my child, and chips and salsa. It was very delicious, and portion size was generous. It was more than what I could finish. I do want to say that there was a mild sweet taste to it. This did not bother me, I thought it complimented the dish, but I could see someone else being put off by it. The chips and salsa were also very good. Service was exceptional, they were kind, quick, and prompt. Seating was very small. We came in with four people and had to sit at the bar. Overall very happy for my first dining experience in Chicago.

Service: 10/10 All of the employees were so nice and the main lady who took my order was very patient and sweet. As soon as I was done ordering, I sat down for 2 minutes and they brought out my chips and horchata. Maybe another 2 minutes and the rest of my food was right next to me when I turned around. It was a Sunday, lunch time and they have people coming in and out. Yet, they still managed to give such a speedy service. Value: You definitely get a bang for your buck here. I ordered the first called William burrito with lettuce, beans, elote and cheese. I got a small elote on the side, horchata, and chips and salsa. All for the price of $29.50. The portions sizes are big, I had to get a To go box for all the leftovers. So, this food was not only my lunch but my dinner as well. Food: The horchata was good. I think it was just the right level of sweet so no complaints there. The elote was good too, but they definitely go in with the mayo. The beans and rice were good. The chips and salsa were my favorite . Mostly because I was a big fan of their salsa(hot). It’s spicy but it’s flavorful. Now, the fish burrito was alright, it could be better it’s just I found the fish to be bland.

Great meats….the steak is great. I usually get the mother clucker burrito. This is a grilled chicken burrito with a tequila lime sauce. Parking is easy for a city restaurant. It is a little pricey, but the quality of the meats makes it worth it.
