This is good restaurant with lots of space and nice furniture. They have chairs with fur on it's back 🙂
The food is good and they make it quite fast.
Service is nice, fast, and friendly.
Have been there since the midday on Thursday, on the few people have been eating, lots of tables available.
Pretty darn good food with a cute atmosphere. They have mimosas here so it's definitely a good brunch spot or a post hang-over breakfast.
Service was so so, but I think our gal was overwhelmed. I still really enjoyed my burrito and would absolutely go back.
Eat on the patio if you can.
Got a late lunch here on a Thursday afternoon. Ate outside on a nearly empty patio with our 2 dogs. Got the avocado toast, shrimp and corn app and the "quick fix" (pictured) all were very good. Dogs loved the house-made doggy ice cream! Overall good, dog friendly patio with good food and service!
we enjoyed the fresh air on the patio and chose the roasted chicken, beef tartare, pasta bolognese and skirt steak. every dish was incredible and full of unique flavor combinations. can't wait to come back.
TOP 3 Burger in the city. Two delicious crisp beef patties, fresh lettuce and onions, a slightly spicy special sauce, melty cheese and toasted bun make this classic with a twist Burger the best in the city. Great fries and melon hibiscus lemonade. (Loyalist #2, table donkey and stick #3)
Came here for a quick bite. Told the server and they were prompt in getting my food and check. Had the burger and fries, burger had some sort of tasty mayo sauce on it. Fries were terrible and meal was a little overpriced, hence the 4 stars.
Had a great meal here on vacation. Brian the waiter couldn't have been nicer and all of the dishes were great. The burrata with beets and cherry jam was my favorite.
I love City Mouse. I started coming here maybe a few months after it opened because there was so little hype about it. It’s a low-key restaurant / bar flowing off the lobby of the Ace Hotel. The menu is pretty much standard American diner fare, but with an upscale execution. And, when I say upscale, I don’t mean it in a fancy-pants, foie-gras-in-random-foods kind of way. To give you an example, The Breakfast Sandwich is just... good. And, not because of any exotic pricy ingredients. The bread is soft and some sort of pita or naan-like texture with a slight toasting. The sausage and eggs are seemingly unremarkable, but somehow just perfect every time. There’s a hash brown inside that manages to be balanced in being crispy and soft (like how I like it at Waffle Houses). There’s a little of sweet jam to balance the saltiness. The Sandwich: It. Just. Works. Everything from their dinner dishes to their simple oatmeal is just better than what their names suggests. I can’t really explain or replicate it. Plus, the servers are friendly, and there’s a good vibe here. I don’t feel that mild sense of haughtiness from other people relaxing or eating here like I do from say... across the street or elsewhere in West Loop. People bring their dogs, their kids, or whatever else inside. There’s also now a flower shop and a coffee place attached. City Mouse is just a nice little spot. It is getting more popular each time I come. Hope it stays true to it’s beginnings.
Went to City Mouse for brunch - such a lovely addition to the neighborhood. Cocktails and food were awesome. Nice wait staff too ;)
Good, American brunch menu with all the classic dishes of the last five years (avocado toast, grain bowl, etc.). Amazing location across from Google- so much street life and art! I’d give them five stars, but they charged us twice for iced tea because we got a refill... seemed a bit cheap on their part considering how much tea bags cost....
