We had their Beyti Kebab and their Lamb Kebab.
The lamb in the Beyti Kebab was really delicious but the lavash was too thick for my taste. It gave the dish a doughy and tick consistency which was hard to swallow. I ended up not eating a lot of the lavash but did enjoy the rest of the entree.
On the other hand, the Lamb Kebab is a must. The lamb is perfectly marinated on shewer comes on top of a delicate but present eggplant sauce.
I love Turkish food and this place did not disappoint! We went for sunday brunch which was laid out buffet style. We had cherry juice which reminded me of my travels there. And theres an option for breakfast main dish. Pictured is menemen (scrambled eggs, peppers, tomatoes) which left me feeling so full. I love that the buffet had healthy options for breakfast not just carb bombs. Imported cheese, dates, and turkish delight were the highlights for me. Great location and would definitely recommend!
My new favorite brunch hangout. Amazing food. Not too much of a wait. Plus the atmosphere and decor is pleasant. Really good experience and waiters are really nice.
Great Turkish food!! I loved my chicken dish. Service was good as well. They make there own bread that they serve with hummus. Will be back.
This is a new restaurant in Lakeview. Me and my friends went there couple nights ago. Honestly Pera Turkish Kitchen is the best Turkish Restaurant in the Illinois I've ever had. We tried 3-4 different things on the menu. All of them was so delicious. I'll be definitely be back to try every single item on the menu. You guys are ROCK! Thank you so much bringing that quality and authentic food from Turkey.
Delicious! Healthy tasty cuisine, very authentic. They serve complimentary homemade bread and bean dip at the beginning and Turkish tea at the end. Baklava is out of this world.
Came here after the NRA. As a restauranteur, my standards are high. On that note, Pera in Chicago NOT THE ONE IN NEW YORK has met my standards. We had the mix ezme, chicken kebab, ottaman sultan, homemade baklava and turkish tea. Our waitress Cansen was awesome. Food came out on time and transition between dishes were on point. Good work guys!
I walked in for lunch on Monday. It was a bit hard to find on Broadway but it was worth my search. The staff are very friendly, the dips are deeelicious, the bread is house made (served warm) and the music was very soothing. They also have a small nice patio but it was too hot of a day.
I ordered an Adana Kebap an ice tea (house made-no additives-no sugar-real tea) and it can be customized to your taste. Other than your order, they serve "house made bean dip" which is alsoo fab. Pera is a restaurant to "enjoy your food slowly". They don't rush you to "eat and leave" so make sure you have time to enjoy the wait. I also had a Turkish Coffee to get the full treat. They also serve brunch on Sundays and I am wondering how that would go...I had no time foe dessert but I sure will be back for more Turkish goodness!
Good decent food delicious dessert kenafa very friendly staff
The Kunafah is amazing with the Turkish coffee!
Ichan was so nice and she offered us round of tea. Would definitely visit again!
