Incredible food, budget friendly and a very well-decorated, peaceful ambience! If you are in Chicago and enjoy middle eastern cuisine YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE. I came here with my Syrian-American friend and her lovely Syrian mother. We ordered all our favorites — lamb couscous, lamb tagine, beef sausage, beet salad, and more — and we were so impressed with every order. The lamb here is NEXT LEVEL. The owner is a great guy too! He’s a recent PhD graduate who is just lovely to talk to. We ordered a bunch of food and on top of that he gave us an eggplant appetizer on the house! I can’t wait to be back!!
I loved my experience at this place! I had the Lamb Marrakech, which is a lamb tagine, and Harira, a delicious flavorful soup. The lamb was not overly seasoned but still cooked perfectly with artichoke hearts and peas. It was just delicious. The customer service of the place was also pretty good. I will definitely visit again when I get the chance to next time I’m in Chicago.
Went here on a Friday evening, 2 of us. The place is cozy, the ambiance is relaxing, and the service is great. We loved the man that was our waiter. The food was delicious. We had the lamb with couscous, the veggie sampler, the hummus, the chicken pastilla, and the Moroccan mint tea. We are definitely going back. Recommended.
