Stopped in to Bonci to finally try out their Roman-style pizza. The restaurant is very small and is located on Sangamon, north of busier Randolph St. The restaurant doesn't have a single table in it. Just stools for counter space along the walls. Not the best setup for patrons who'd like to sit and enjoy their food. I arrived shortly after Bonci opened and several different pizzas were already out and ready. I ordered a slice of their Prosciutto Cotto pizza and a slice of their Spicy Eggplant (pictured). Pizza is sold by weight here, so when you order, they just lift the pizza up and slide a scissor down the side of it, cutting off a slice whenever you tell them to. After heating the slices up, they sliced them both up into bite-size bites (pictured.). Definitely different! The pizza, though, was delicious. Both slices, delicious. Would very highly recommend and can't wait to go back and try some other pizzas!

Roman pizzeria that was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. I loved that they price by weight vs slice and they will cut the pizza to your preferred size, so you can try different kinds of pizza toppings. There is a small bar for eating in the front.

Follow me on social @Inspiring kitchen! šŸŽ‰Welcome to Lincoln Park, @bonciusa! ⁣ Bonci’s Roman style pizza is now available in their new location on the north side of Chicago. ⁣ ⁣ There are so many unique qualities about this pizza from the focaccia style crust to the wide variety of toppings to how you order your pizza. ⁣ ⁣ If you’re like me, and have trouble choosing just one topping for your pizza, Bonci gives you the opportunity to choose from 12 to 15 different styles which are then cut with a scissors to your specifications. So if you want to try five different types, you just tell them how much of each you want and they weigh it to give you your receipt. ⁣This is the most fun way to sample all different flavors of pizza! ⁣

This place is very small and quaint inside. More of a takeout place. I liked the pizza but it was not the best pizza I’ve ever had. I think having to reheat up the pizza makes it not as good to be honest. I wish they made the pizza fresh and hot as you order it not having to reheat it. The staff was very nice.

Tens of pizza options with various ingredients(arugula, aubergine, ricotta etc). You decide the portion of your slice. Some pizza slices left a bit extra olive oil feeling in the mouth though. They have only high top table setup for inside seating. It takes 5-10 minutes to get your slice after your order is taken due to reheat process.

Food was so fire. It’s not pizza by the slice it’s pizza by the pound. They let you select how much you want for each variety. There’s a ton of options as well. Good vibes and friendly staff inside. Great for a snack or a meal.

Amazing pizza. So many options that all sound so delicious. Got the potato & mozzarella, Arrabiata, prosciutto & rosemary, caramelized onion, and sopresata. All were ones I’d ordered again any time. Reasonable prices. Everything is so flavorful. Small ish place with only a few places to sit. Will be going back

After immersing ourselves in a captivating Netflix show, we sought out the culinary treasures of Bonci pizza in Chicago. Hailing from Rome, this establishment boasts high-quality ingredients and an impressive variety of toppings. The crust is perfectly crispy, avoiding any trace of sogginess. From classic choices like pepperoni and sausage to unique offerings like fried onion, Bonci satisfies every pizza craving. Acting on the chef's recommendation, I, a non-vegetarian, tried the spicy eggplant—and it surpassed all expectations. It was truly the best pizza I've ever had.

Vegetable toppings šŸ…šŸ«‘šŸ†šŸ§„were fresh, mozzarella stretchy, and seasoning balanced. The crust was a touch too rustic than what I prefer, but pizzas šŸ• were good overall due to delicious toppings. Fan of their price by weight concept, making it easy to sample a greater variety of pizzas especially during your first visit.

Ate here in Rome and just had to try Chicago location while visiting. Delicious! Just like Rome. My friend says this was her favorite place in Rome. It would be in Chicago too. Limited seating but nice family style table out front. Fun neighborhood to visit.

So good! We stopped in on a Saturday night and chose several varieties of pizza to try. The staff is great and will cut pieces to specifications before heating them up. We sampled four different kinds- spicy eggplant was amazing! Sausage and blueberry was also delicious. Prices are by weight and I think three of us spent about $25 with plenty to go around.

This place really lived up to the hype. The pizza tasted phenomenal, and I loved how you can choose how much to get, allowing you to get a wide variety without paying an arm and a leg. The spicy egg plant was a fave as well as the prosciutto.

This place is literally like eating Roman style pizza in Italy. Amazing! I wish they could have the potatoes one all the time but it’s hard to find it! 5 stars!

quick counter service place with amazing variety of pizzas! they have several vegan options that were just as great as the nonvegan. the options change within hours, but the variety is always delicious! they have seating both inside and outside, as well as a variety of drinks and gelato. i had their popular potato pizza, the vegan mushroom, and a lemon ricotta zucchini one. they were all delicious! you pick the size of slice and pay by the weight, but this whole portion was only 12$.

Minimal seating inside. Some seating outside. Vegan and vegetarian options as well as standard meat. You control how much pizza you want and it’s weighed. Your portion is cut with scissors then heated to crispy deliciousness. Free cup and water or you can purchase canned beverages. A few desserts are available. I had the pistachio almond cake slice. Light and delicious. Pizza was super tasty. There is a history to this pizzeria; read about it.

Loved the lox pizza and my friend loved the spicy eggplant pizza. I also liked the burrata pizza. I just ate here 2 days ago and I already want to go back.

I was very excited to try this after the Netflix show. It did not disappoint! The space is really cool - very simple and understated and set up for one thing - PIZZA. The staff were friendly and helped us with the ordering process. There were so many types of pizza so the idea of ordering by weight and getting to try a bunch of flavors was great. We ordered 10 different pieces of different sizes and the bill was about $45. My favorite was the lemon, ricotta, zucchini. I would highly recommend stoping in for a slice!

I had never been there the girl in the counter explained to me and let me know what some of the pizza ingredients were. How they charge. Really good customer service they are a little pricey but really tasty
