Friendly staff. Tasty popcorn. Chicago's staple. Note: it'll not keep. If you are visiting/traveling and planning to bring some with you or just eat some later don't even bother. We bought 3 big bags in the am that got stale in the pm of the same day. Save it to get it at the airport or buy the tins.

If you are visiting Chicago, aside from the deep dish pizza and Chicago style hot dog (no ketchup), you must also try Garrett's Popcorn. It's iconic and synonymous to Chicago as pizza and bagels to New York City. I went to this location. It's small but they have alot of other stores throughout Chicago. They has different flavors of popcorn. The most popular are the caramel crisp and the cheese corn. You can get a mix of these two flavors which is the Garrett mix. Some people may find the sweet and salty a bit out there but the cheese popcorn is very tasty. Just make sure to be careful since you may get cheese on your fingers. I would come back and get a tin for myself when I go back to Chicago. You may want to look ahead if they have special limited flavors such as the spicy cheese corn or the apple caramel crisp.

We came here to buy popcorns multiple times, and the popcorns were always very good. They freshly made the popcorns everyday. I would recommend people to buy the Garrett mix with both caramel and cheese flavors in one bag, so you can balance the sweetness from the caramel popcorns with the savory taste from the cheese popcorns.
