Sun Wah Bbq - Chicago - Photo album

The Sun Wah duck feast is an incredible dining experience, offering a whole duck served over three courses: roasted duck served in slices (with steamed buns provided), duck soup, and a choice of duck rice or noodles. It's an ideal spot for larger group dining. Their Cantonese BBQ selections are amaz
This meal was phenomenal! I crave the Peking duck since we went there all the time. They have limited number of the ducks for the day, so I would definitely give a call before you go, or go early. The amount of stuff that comes with it is a lot, so it’s definitely worth the price. The broth was so
Their pecking duck is the best! It's not on the menu but if you tell them that you want to order the pecking duck they'll know what you want. Basically you get a whole duck and they will cook it THREE way for you. First, they will slice the meat off the whole duck (on the side of your table) and it
We went for lunch and we didn’t see it on the menu, but the waitress knew that the Peking Duck “Dinner” was probably what we wanted! Grateful that she mentioned it otherwise we would’ve assumed it wasn’t available. 10/10. I’d get it again. Definitely something I’d treat out-of-towners to especially!
Sun Wah BBQ is a Chicago institution. There’s a reason they’ve been doing this for 35 years and it shows. Never before have I experienced anything like the Beijing Duck dinner. A multi course affair where a whole roasted duck is carved table-side, bao and toppings are provided, then they make duck f
We got the off-menu “Beijing Duck Dinner” for lunch, which you need to call in advance to reserve. It’s a multi-course meal that uses every part of the duck in each course, and costs $60 total. Split among 4 people, it was a good amount of food at a very reasonable price. It started with a server c
This places gets really busy so make sure you make reservations! The food isn’t absolutely unforgettable but the table side Peking duck experience where they slice the duck super fast is not what you’ll usually see. The Peking duck comes with 3 dishes; the sliced duck with buns, duck fried rice and
Get the popular Peking duck dinner; easily feeds a group of four! They carve the duck table side; they take the carcass to the kitchen and make soup and fried rice for the table. You also get pickled veggies and rice bar buns for the duck meat.
I had the whole Peking Duck meal, where they serve the crispy skin, and cook the rest of the duck meat in fried rice and made soup from the bones(which is surprisingly good). The Peking duck is juice, good sauce, just like the ones in Hongkong❤️ the place is clean, the waitresses were quick and help
The Peking Duck was superb. It was a delight to all. So much flavor. The sides were enormous. One order of PD with its soup and noodles could easily feed 3-4 people. We ordered 2 ducks, 3 entrees and an extra soup for 5 people. We took home 6 containers of leftovers and 2 quarts of soup. The servi
Delicious food, but service not friendly. Good spot to try authentic food, but I wouldn't recommend it for a special occasion. Also, very reasonable prices.
COME HERE FOR THE DUCK SPECIAL DINNER 🦆🦆🦆 Bring your own wine - some lighter and/or a darker red. It’s a great spot for larger groups. And isn’t going to rip your wallet.
The peking duck experience was truly special - it tasted amazing as well. Other food items on their menu were okay-ish, nothing spectacular. But you won’t go wrong with their meat items!
Loved the full duck dinner $60 ( need to reserve in advance), but the fried rice that came with it was not impressive. The rice quality was not good and the flavor was off. $60 is a bit too expensive too. Not much service there.
Been coming for the duck meal for years and love the experience and food every single time. The table side experience is a fun way to impress your visitors, and the hands on wrapping of the duck meat, bao, garnishes and sauces is interactive and delicious.
Amazing food especially their specialty - Duck. Good sides. The noodles and fried rice could taste just as good with less oil! Extremely busy and popular, this place fills up fast. Casual ambiance... tables could do with an update 🤔
It was really busy in this restaurant on a Monday night. I was told to make a reservation if you wanted to order the Beijing duck dinner. The garlic stir fried eggplant was pretty good, the sauce went very well with white rice. The duck itself and the duck fried rice were lacking flavor. The duck
