Absolutely electric feel. This place has an excellent vibe and the food is incredible. Every dish that we had was fabulous and we had most of them. We had a table for 10. Our server Dave was excellent. Great place to take your love for a birthday.

We had an amazing brunch here today. The food and the service were both excellent, and the restaurant was very accommodating of my son’s food allergies. I highly recommend this place.

Great variety of creative, tapas-style food including a vegan menu (which is why we went). Most food items were very good to excellent. Decor is warm and inviting with interesting ways of repurposing items. Don't drink so can't comment on those but a great many other people were drinking which leads me to believe they are good.

Lovely restaurant and bar to spend time at. Went on a Friday evening and it was really busy. Better to reserve and go. They have mostly indoor and a limited outdoor seating. Great ambience. Loved the eco theme throughout. Even the bathrooms have preserved botanical (plant) samples on the wall. Looks kinda cool. The bar is nice. I had a Whisky sour that was good. Tried a few dishes from the menu. The food is slightly average actually. But I guess vegetarians and vegans will love it. I loved the desert though. Ask the servers for reccos. They were really good at that. The service was overall very good. Recommend going here if u are a vegetarian / vegan but if you are a non veg and would like to try something new this place ain't bad.

This was a pretty solid find by my co-worker. The have lunch specific light drinks on the menu, plenty of locally sourced drinks and food options and solid service. They are known for their vegetarian friendly options but I tried the 50/50 burger steak and mushroom burger which was amazing given all the pressure they have for being so close to the establishment that claims to have the best burger in town. We tried the brownie for dessert and they also surprised with a birthday dessert surprise that our server mentioned could only be tried by folks on special occasions. solid 4.75 Stars!

Our waitress was phenomenal, very good at explaining the dishes and drinks! If you try anything on the menu, the Butter Dumplings are a must!! The flavor packed into those little bundle of joys are immaculate. The Parsnip Pave, very interesting dish in terms of preparation & product in general—-I wasn’t aware parsnips could be served in such a way. The sauce that came with it, was delicious! In addition we tried the Octopus, Monk Fish, and Chicken—all very good and different flavors, all worth a try. You won’t be disappointed in your visit!

I always love having a meal at Bad Hunter. The food is always interesting and multifaceted, the flavors and textures carefully selected and layered to make an appealing dish. Everything tastes like comfort food, but especially flavorful comfort food that is actually conveniently healthy. The menu changes seasonally but heavily features plant-based options all year round, with meat dishes for carnivores, omnivorous fare to share, a vegetarian menu and a vegan menu. Servers are also aware of how to modify dishes so they're vegan and vegetarian. The drink menu is also extensive and pretty much everything is delicious. On my most recent visit, my husband and I got the Young Coconut Ceviche and the Grilled Sourdough with Sunflower Crema as appetizers. The Grilled Sourdough is available all year because it's delicious, savory, smoky and satisying. It can easily accompany any and every possible dish. The ceviche was refreshing and interesting; the coconut 'leche de tigre' was citrusy and a little spicy. Nori lent the appetizer a hint of the sea. The pickled blueberries were unexpectedly awesome, and the crispy plantains made excellent chips. I highly recommend the Strawberry Pineapple Fizz as a refreshing, replenishing fruity drink. It was a great palate cleanser throughout my meal. I ordered two because it was just so good, but I probably could've consumed an entire pitcher of this nonalcoholic elixir. I ordered the vegan Masa Spaetzle as my entree, while my husband got the Sirloin Skewer, and we shared another order of the Grilled Sourdough. (It's that good. And we were really hungry.) The skewer is always a tasty hit with my husband. The spaetzle was good, with fewer bold flavors. This dish had a lot of interesting textures at play; chewy fried spaetzle, almost like little free-form gnocchi noodles, crispy beans (I think they were pinto beans) with a slight crunch, thinly shaved tomatillo for a spicy green punch, and a lovely mole sauce somewhat reminiscent of a thick rosa sauce that tasted creamy without any actual cream. It's safe to say that my husband I inhaled all our food, then got dessert. For dessert, I had a cherry limeade popsicle, and my husband had a scoop of cashew rocky road ice cream. Both were awesome. Husband is a big cashew fan and loves chocolate almost as much, so the ice cream thoroughly satisfied his sweet tooth. If you have a chance to go to Bad Hunter, do it. Go at least twice a year to see the changes in the menu. I was sad that the saucy Carrot Noodles weren't included on this version of the menu, but I'm hoping they'll come back in the spring or summer.

One of the restaurants that I can say was worth the price. And it isn't even that expensive! The menu changes seasonally and they fuse cuisines in a way that is unexpected and appreciated. 5 out of our 6 sharing dishes we were 10/10 and the other was more of a 6/10. There were a few dishes that some people tried that weren't for them and some that weren't what we expected it wasn't as what we thought was described. There are plenty of vegetarian options as well. Definitely worth a visit and highly recommend making a reservation. Your entire party has to be present to be seated. You can wait at the bar during that time. I don't drink too often and these were some drinks that are worth a perusal. The service is also brilliant. In three words: unexpected, surprising, and delightful.

Trendy urban eatery for vegans and vegetarians. Friendly staff and fairly quick dinner service. We arrived on a Sunday night around 5:30 and were seated quickly without. Reservations. The drink menus offers a variety of tastes cocktails, with and without alcohol. Food was styled beautifully. Lots of yummy new things to explore and try out in the menus. The place was medium volume level, ok for conversations without yelling.

Great place for a light brunch in west loop! Despite the name, they do offer some non-vegetarian options. So feel free to bring over your Uncle Tim who cannot survive a meal without meat. The English muffins with poached egg and smoked salmon comes topped with a tasty pesto and corn sauce. Simply delicious! The fried-chicken sandwich actually comes with a giant mushroom instead of chicken. Another awesome option!

Beautiful ambience and huge variety of alcohol. Bartender is good person and is very helpful in deciding what to drink. Topo American drink is very tasty. Haven't tried the food so can't comment. Crowded in the evenings.

I had an amazing time at Bad Hunter to celebrate getting a new job. Didn't have to think twice about what I was ordering because they have vegetarian menus! My partner and I shared a handful of plates, all of which were delicious. I'd never had any sort of ceviche before, so that was a really cool experience. The biggest standouts to me were the best potato fried bread with burrata and cherry chutney as well as the squash dish. I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu and I'll definitely be back.
