Potbelly Sandwich Shop

First time at a Potbelly Sandwich Shop! We were super hungry while exploring Chicago, So we stopped in for a bite! Our party got the Avo Turkey & The Mediterranean in the Skinny size with a side of Broccoli and Cheddar Soup & The Steakhouse Beef in the original size. The portions are big, even the skinny sandwich was big for me. I had the Mediterranean and swapped my soup with a family member for some Zapps BBQ chips, and I was a happy camper, flavor was good and as a fan of spicy, my spicy needs were met. I did have the chance to try the Hot Peppers and boy are they HOT. Overall nice stop :)

Yesterday I had a really bad experience at a restaurant and didn't end up getting any lunch. This Potbelly is located in the building I work in, so I went in figuring I would grab some soup and sulk at my desk. The staff were so polite, however what made this memorable was an employee named Taurus. As I was ordering my items, I presume my emotions were showing on my face and she offered me a free cookie, as well as telling me she hope my day get better. This was one of the most kindest acts that was unexpected. I didn't know the bad experience I literally just had could be seen by others, and for this woman to go out her way to attempt to cheer me up and have a better day. These are the type of people you need in customer service industry jobs. I want to say thank you Taurus as YOU did make my day and it was better because of your kind act.

Don't think I would have survived college without this establishment. I probably sampled their entire menu. My favourites are 1) chicken salad sandwich, 2) turkey breast sandwich, 3) meatball sandwich, 4) tuna salad sandwich, and 5) mushroom melt. I always went with big and whole grain/multigrain. Yumm!!
