This is a great place for Italian sandwiches, all the ingredients are fresh, the bread is fantastic and the add-ons are excellent. The staff always friendly. I’ve seen other people in the past complain about the quality of the bread here, but all I have to say is they are wrong, either they have the taste palette of a 5 year old or they need to travel more to appreciate the quality of this place.

Not only are the sandwiches incredible, but the staff is SO nice. It’s a true Chicago institution which has been in their family for 4 generations. It’s a brother and sister duo who could not be nicer. They helped us pick which sandwiches to get and it goes to show you how easy it is to be kind. A MUST GO.

Excellent Italian subs at JP Graziano 🔥 We went for the first time around lunch on a weekday and the place was packed! You order from the front counter and then pay at the kiosk in the back. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Super fresh ingredients, all imported meats, high quality artisan food. They were slicing all the meats to order for the sandwiches! I really enjoyed the Mr. G sandwich (the artichokes are delicious), and I had to add their famous house hot giardiniera. This place is one of the most famous sandwich shops in Chicago for a reason!

I absolutely cannot say enough great things about J.P. Graziano's. I took my mom here for a simple Chicago neighborhood lunch. We were staying in the touristy River North area but we're former Chicago locals so I wanted to have a lunch that was consistent with our roots and my upbringing. Cheap and good! 11 years ago I had J.P Graziano's for the first time and loved it but sadly moved away. So we walked one mile to the West Loop neighborhood and ordered Prosciutto sandwich to split and Cannoli's. Most people take their order to go but we dined in at one of the several small tables. The staff is overwhelmingly friendly and the food quality is exceptional. Best Cannoli's I've ever had. The Luxardo cherries are an amazing touch! Best of all, this place is exactly as I remember 11 years ago. While the surrounding neighborhood has changed, J.P. Graziano's is exactly the same. Well almost, I remember they used to only take cash but they take credit cards now.

The staff working at JP Graziano’s are great— extremely friendly, quick, and personable. The lines can get long on the weekends, but the wait is not too bad overall; most people just do take-out. Although there’s no indoor seating, there’s a small outdoor seating section on the side, which is really nice when the weather is warm. I tried the Artichoke and Mr. G’s sandwich, and while they were both solid sandwiches, they didn’t match my high expectations based on all the reviews and hype. The bread and fillings are fresh though, and the ratio of bread to filling is solid. I wish they had an option for hot / toasted sandwiches, as I think the cheese would have tasted better melted. The prices are not bad, especially for the Fulton Market area— $12 for the Artichoke, $13 for the Mr. G’s.
