Great place, very nostalgic with the old candy and the custard was great. Had the Rambler Raspberry and it was great with caramel sauce and cone pieces mixed in! We will be back!
Such a treat---literally! The staff is great, the atmosphere amazing and the selections plentiful! So glad to have this business in the neighborhood!
if the picture of the banana split doesn’t speak volumes, ill say a bit more - delicious custard. went on a saturday night an hour before close and the line was out the door (i understand why). line went quick and our custard was ready quick too. staff is friendly, prices are fair, plus they are very allergen friendly ! (just let them know). place has a good amount of seating and doubles as a candy store. i’ll be around here frequently.
This place is like time travel! I love the retro look, the million candy options, the funky decoration and all. The vanilla custard is amazing! (It’s also gluten free!!) The staff is also super sweet. I’m definitely coming back.
This is a gem and a perfect place for this gem. The custard and concrete mixer was great!! The chocolate was just so/ so imo, only got almond bark and a smore but Mr Kites in Ukrainian village is better with their homemade chocolates. This place has a great variety of candy from the past and present and a whole little section of different pops which include a bacon-flavored pop lol
I felt like a kid in a candy store 😉! Fantastic candy shop, so many interesting options, it’s almost magical. The staff was so nice. I got an amaretto truffle, which was good. I also got the Fruity Pebbles white chocolate bar, and mango mochi, both a delight! When I’m back in the neighborhood I’ll go back to try some more.
I love the frozen custard, but they have forgotten to make the order of someone in my group two out of three visits. We wait, then the staff is doing nothing and we ask and they respond without any real apology and fill the order. Last time, I *thought* the girl who took my order was making my order but it turned out she was just making a little something for herself. Oh, both these orders were just scoops on a cone, nothing complicated.
Great custard
Had the grasshopper custard. So refreshing. Love the candy and soda choices. Just about everything you can imagine. Owner and staff very friendly. Well worth the trip. A must go to if you're in Chicago
Pleasant place that's like walking back in time. It's frozen custard with a few flavor options but a large selection of toppings. Lots of candy options for all generations. Great after dinner activity for individuals, couples or families. Fun for everyone!
This place is just incredible. Decorated like an old fashioned candy/ice cream parlor, it's like a dream. Frozen custard is beyond incredible, and the staff are great. Partner loves nuts, and instead of trying to put them on his scoop, they put them in a lid so he could dip and eat - he was so happy. My turtle was fabulous - I only thought to take pic after I hard started on it. While we were sitting enjoying our treats, a manager took 10 minutes to help a gentleman find hard candy to substitute for his smoking habit. Place is such a wonderful treat, just what we needed after a bad morning.
Update - went for the second time and had the Banana Split. So yum!
Loved this place. So many options to chose from. I got one of their custom sundaes (turtle) and loved it.
This place is just awesome. Vintage/retro look and feel. The custard ice cream is delicious. There is a wide selection of other goodies, like cupcakes, candies and very interesting soda flavors.
