I wanted to go to an Irish Pub in Chicago and so looked online for reviews. Lady Gregory's came up time and again so off I went. It's a really nicely crafted bar with plenty of seating throughout the restaurant. The food options are pretty standard, but really well prepared. The beer and whiskey options are great and the wait staff are fabulous. We even had a waitress from Ireland, so that was cool.
Portillo's has the hands down best Italian beef, hot dogs, chopped salad and chocolate cake. The kids spaghetti and meatballs are delicious, too. You can't go wrong at Portillo's!
The food was good and the service was good. However a wrong meal was brought twice to our table. But that meal was then deducted from the bill. Otherwise we did enjoy this place.

Lady Gregory's is right up there with Hopleaf as my favorite spot in Andersonville. It's got a great Irish pub vibe and you really do get a relaxed and causal feel once you step inside. The thing about Lady Gregory's is that you'll be happy whether you're coming here for the food or just to have some beers.
I've never been disappointed by anything I've ordered here. I will say the truffle chips are a classic and you need to try them. Bleu cheese and truffle oil on homemade chips that are fried just right. Two thumbs up here. I also love the Lobster mac and cheese, because sometimes I feel like pretending I'm fancy when eating kid food. But seriously, with the mushrooms and more truffle it's a great bite.
I've come in just to watch a game at the bar and have some beers too. They have a rotating number of craft beers to pick from and I've always been able to get a few new beers. And if there is one thing I love, it's trying new beers.
If you're in Andersonville and looking for a neighborhood spot to get drinks and solid food, Lady Gregory's is your place.

Lady Gregory's is a great Irish pub with an extensive whiskey selection and the ultimate comfort food. Situated right on Clark in the cute northside neighborhood of Andersonville, Lady Gregory's is about a ten minute walk from the red line Berwyn stop. But it's totally worth it.
Hands down, the star of the menu IMO is the Cold Water Lobster Mac & Cheese. This is no ordinary mac & cheese and comes loaded with mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese. And did I mention lobster? The lobster pieces were huge and made this $18 dish worth every penny. It also comes out in a skillet style dish and is probably enough for two normal people to share, but of course, I indulged in this decadent dish all by myself.
My husband had another comfort food favorite: the Ultimate Grilled Cheese with Bacon and a cup of tomato basil soup. The grilled cheese was a combination of gruyere, white cheddar, mozzarella, and brie cheese and came out piping hot and oozing cheesiness. Along with candied bacon, the sandwich had roasted tomato concassé and fried shallots, which helped to class it up a notch. The tomato soup was the perfect dipping companion.
Good Bruch Spot. Came to watch the game, and get some simple brunch food. Lots of seating and a wide menu with some fun traditional Irish options like Fish and Chips, Deviled Eggs, some interesting soups and salads. A great beer list, and a very upscale feel. It is a great addition to Andersonville's selection of specialty restaurants!
They need to fix their musical mix though, it was constantly changing between a pop mix and a Beatles CD, very bizarre choices.
We have unanimously voted for Lady Gregory’s on several date nights since then and are happy to also recommend the Roasted Beet Salad, the Baked Frech Onion Soup, the Guiness Burger, and the Ultimate Grilled Cheese — best shared since it is incredibly rich and will make you feel awful (made with gruyere, aged cheddar, mozzarella, brie, roasted tomato concasse, shallots, candied bacon confetti melted in parmesan crusted sourdough — see? I wouldn’t lie to you).
Came for a pre-Christmas lunch. We were sat quickly and taken care of by their wonderful staff. The French onions soup was fantastic. I got the salmon Buddha bowl (no picture) was not what I expected and it was a bit too salty with not as much rice as I would have preferred for a “bowl.” Most everyone else I was with got burgers which were raved about. The cheese grits were the highlight for the table - everyone loved them. The atmosphere is beautiful and the location is near everything you want to be by in Andersonville
Scrumptious, period. Several visits to this amazing restaurant and never has it been like "average." Everything is awesome, food and drinks; and my favorite dish is roasted rosemary chicken, which is above and beyond. That juicy, well-cooked chicken meat is exquisitely flavourful.
Our 1-hour trip to get there is really worth it. The staff is attentive, decoration is inviting, and ambiance is lively.

Wait staff is super kind and helpful. I am gluten free and there is a huge selection of drinks and items to eat. On top of that I don’t drink alcohol and I was over the moon to see a gluten free AND non-alcoholic beer on the menu. We started with the creamy and tangy artichoke cheddar dip. My boyfriend got the regular fish & chips and I ordered the GF fish & chips. We both loved our entree! The fish was so flakey and tender while the batter was crunchy and airy. Even the tartar sauce and coleslaw hit the spot.
You can tell they care about having options for all kinds of dietary needs and food preferences. They have a dedicated gluten free fryer and PLENTY of genuinely delicious options.
I really don’t write reviews unless a restaurant has made me feel truly welcomed and satiated. Thank you Lady Gregory crew! We will absolutely come back. 💖
My friend recommended this restaurant and it was phenomenal. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted. We were seated right away. Our waiter was amazing! Ryan took our order for drinks and food. He checked in on us and it was wonderful service. Clean location. I would come back for sure!
I ordered the lavender Paloma, take out burger and Mac and cheese. Best burger I’ve had in a really long time. Loved the bacon in the cheese, recommend it all.

Stopped by for dinner and drinks and we were not disappointed. We tried the Scottish Salmon and the Shepherds Pie. Both were great and I wouldn't have been mad about getting a second helping. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience and will be back soon.
First time to this Restaurant in Andersonville even though I have wanted to go to it ever since it opened. My only regret is that I didn't go sooner. Great Atmosphere, Food is incredible and the service was excellent.

Food was really good. Good service. Wait time was like 25 mins. Good location. Nearby Mediterranean shop/restaurant. Also Jennie’s ice cream is close by too.
There’s a little something for everyone at Lady Gregory’s. Lots of vegan/vegetarian options. Delicious burgers and sandwiches. Or indulge in proper Irish pub food like Shepherds pie or fish and chips.
Summertime Chicago means outdoor seating. Best time of year in the city.
Service is prompt and attentive. Inside and outside.
The bar itself is beautiful and worth checking out. While you’re there you might as well grab a drink!
This is a great spot in Andersonville. We love the ambience and the Irish flare. You feel like you just arrived in Dublin. The menu has great diversity without being overwhelming and the quality of the food is outstanding. We have long been fans of the artichoke dip and the macaroni and cheese because they are both just yummy in the tummy. The bar is big and open with a really friendly vibe. Caesar salad is smacking delish. The salmon entree is always a winner. Great energy and a great place for a casual yet top notch dining experience.
Beautiful Irish pub with excellent service. Dropped in on St. Patrick's Day for food and drinks and was seated in the library right away. Very lively and friendly atmosphere. For having a full house, the service was excellent.
My granddaughter's grilled cheese was surprisingly good. This was an item on the kid's menu made on sourdough.
Corned beef was decent. Good portion..the potatoes were pretty bland. Will be back to try out other items on their menu.
