Stella's Diner

Just wanted to write a quick review about our amazing dinner. I've been here once before and remember loving the food. So last week we came out from Chicago to celebrate our anniversery. The Food was amazing especially the entrees. The cocktail list was sooo good along with the wine selection. And lastly shout out to the host/managers and our server Amalia, was absolutly amazing made our dinnig experience A+++.

Visited Stella's with my in-laws for a bite to eat before hitting the town. I got the sweet and sour cabbage soup and a turkey club. The turkey club and soup were great! Turkey was homemade (not deli slices), and soup was warming on a cold day. -- Also, the music selection was A++. Hope to come back someday!

So I'm a Huge fan of old-school greasy spoon diners. This one has that aura, but you can tell some work's been done inside. Anyway, I'm on a mission to find the best country fried steak in town. The pic in here didn't do the actual portion justice. Considering the Lakeview prices; not bad at all. I work down the block & I'll Definitely be back!! P.s. Isyss is a good server!!

Just a perfect little diner, and an era when diners are hard to find. Colorful and funky inside with comfy booths or simple tables to push together for bigger groups. Absolutely love the milkshakes! You can’t go wrong, getting the basic traditional diner foods here. A neighborhood classic, but totally feels fresh every time.

We were very surprised at the not so great reviews... this was our last meal of our vacation in Chicago. We came in around 10a.m. for breakfast and it was great- the food, the service, and the atmosphere. It is the kind of family style diner we wish we had at home in Florida. The Belgian waffle was chrisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Bacon was crisp not burnt, fresh squeezed OJ, eggs cooked perfectly over medium, and my husband actually enjoyed his cup of coffee! Will add it to our places to eat in Chicago!
