This restaurant is a staple in Lincoln Park. It’s been here for quite a while. Last year, they added outdoor seating with fire pits, fondue and cheese plate options, and cocktails or other drinks. I like it outside better than sitting inside, which is dark, smells like stereo and oil, and the smell stays in your clothes and hair. But the food is great, they sometimes have live guitar music, and this is a special place to go
We were looking for a quick lunch although we had two hours before our flight. We were seated promptly. The table was place in a high traffic area next to the bar to maximize the number of tables in the restaurant. A very poor customer experience since servers and patrons kept bumping into my chair.
The food was average airport food. I would have expected it to be a little better given it was a sports bar with Mr. Caray's name on it. I had a grilled chicken ceasar wrap with french fries. Again, it was acceptable, but below expectations.
The service was poor. We waited for drinks. The food came out at a reasonable time. The server did not check on us. Also, we had to ask someone to provide us with our check.
Geja’s Cafe is a Chicago institution, and is considered by many national publications to be one of Chicago’s most romantic restaurants. In fact it styles itself as “Chicago’s most romantic fondue restaurant”. Patrons of Geja’s Cafe will be delighted to learn that they have now expanded their dining space to include an outdoor space with fire pits, and we were recently invited to check out the new space.
A wonderful experience as always. The service was great and the food delicious. Every course is great. Love the cheese and chocolate but the main course is also tasty. A great way to spend my bday.
My boyfriend and I love this place. It's so romantic and the fondue is great. It's our favorite date spot. I wouldn't recommend bringing children or large groups, but it's perfect for 2. Although it is expensive, you're not just paying for the food, you're paying for the experience.
I went to Gejas for the first time last night and absolutely loved it. It was hard to restrain myself from eating the entire cheese and dessert course. Service was outstanding and location is great. Can't wait to go back again!

Very romantic and excellent food! The chocolate fondue was to die for and the service was outstanding. Definitely worth the money especially for the amount of food you are given.
The restaurant is supposedly one of the most romantic in the city and I could buy that, if it were winter time. I found the low lighting too dark but overall, a cool atmosphere. As for the food, we started with the Cheese Fondue that was melted down with some white wine. We were given an assortment of bread and fruits for dipping and the cheese got more and more gooey and complex the longer it sat.
Overall an amazing experience. Atmosphere is awesome and the service was great. My only complaint is the price for so little protein. I paid 87 dollars for the combo and definitely didn’t get as much meat as I thought I should. Regardless Still was delicious and definitely recommend

My husband and I recently had a magical experience at Geja. From the moment we walked in, we were swept away by the cozy and intimate ambiance that set the stage for a truly unforgettable evening.
The menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of fondue options. We started with the classic cheese fondue as an appetizer, and it was a delightful blend of creamy cheeses, perfectly seasoned and accompanied by a selection of fresh bread, crisp vegetables, and fruit. We then opted for a meat and seafood option. When the platter arrived, it was arranged with an assortment of tender beef, succulent shrimp, potatoes, mushrooms, broccoli and onions. The fondue pot, bubbling, allowed us to cook the meats to our liking, creating a fun and interactive dining experience. We ended the dinner with the decadent chocolate fondue served with marshmallows, fruit and moist, fluffy cake. It was heaven.
The service was impeccable (shout out to Tyson!). We wanted for nothing as he seemed to anticipate our needs.
Overall, the warmth of the staff made us feel like valued guests.

My partner and I were celebrating our anniversary here. Geja's Cafe knocks it out of the park. We entered greeted with warmth and kindness from the staff. Constantly good wishes for our anniversary along with a beautiful card. We both ordered the Geja's Premier Fondue Dinners: Prince Geja's Combination and Beef tenderloin and chicken. Our waiter, Michael, was attentive and great. We enjoyed every stage of fondue, along with the great service from staff. Thank you so much!
From the time we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness. Our waiter, Gary, was wonderful (along with everyone else). All three courses were incredible, and they even threw in a birthday treat for my boyfriend. Incredible service and food. We’ll definitely be back!

Where to begin. My lovely partner brought me here for dinner. The ambiance for one. Low light, candle lit tables, live music, everything about Gejas is romantic as advertised. We both got a bottle of red to start which was rich in flavor and was the perfect drink to accompany our meal. We got the Prince Gejas combination. The starter of cheese fondue, breads, fruits was excellent. The bread and cheese combo was so rich, creamy, and savory. Have to mention the salad also, loved the vinaigrette dressing. Onto the main course. The cooking of the food was a blast. Our waiter Gary prepped us on everything we’d need to have a superb meal. My personal favorite was the scallops, they’ve been on my mind since last. But the chicken, beef, lobster did not lack whatsoever. I’m
a nerd and used my Apple Watch stopwatch to ensure proper cool times. The main meal was excellent and I would recommend to anyone. For dessert, the chocolate fondue… are you kidding me. Insanely good. S’mores like done on a campfire. The fruits and the chocolate, can’t say enough. Not to mention the little red velvet cake brought out for my birthday. If you’re lucky enough to go on your birthday you’ll have the ultimate wish placer on this cake. We finished off with two signature cocktails, I don’t think there is a drink that you could go wrong with on their menu. In all, this place is can’t miss. If you want the ultimate romantic evening you must come to Gejas. We felt so welcomed and fell in love with the whole experience, most definitely will be back. Thank you Gejas staff for all you do.
We went for our 25th wedding anniversary. It was an awesome experience! Everyone was super friendly, and we didn't have to wait for anything. They were super attentive and really sweet.
