Cantina Laredo sets a high standard for quality Mexican food at a reasonable price. We went here on valentine's day, without a reservation, when we thought every restaurant in the city would be fully booked. They seated us immediately, and the experience was flawless. The portions are balanced so that even through multiple courses I was satisfied but not too full. The drinks were great as well. I recommend the tuna tacos as an appetizer, and the al pastor fajitas for the main course. For dessert, we shared a wonderful mango tres leches cake. I foresee myself returning to this restaurant whenever I'm craving good Mexican food.

The pollo en tomatillo was on point! Chicken was a tad dry, but the tomatillo sauce was by far the best I've had. Ordinarily I don't finish all of my food, especially after munching on chips and salsa. I finished my ENTIRE plate here! The employees were bright and friendly. Our server, Juan, was wonderful! The restaurant itself was clean, had very modern architecture and tones, and the atmosphere around 3 pm leading into 4:30 pm was quiet but social! Highly recommend!

Cantina Laredo provided us with a great experience through and through. I planned a meal here as part of my Mother's birthday weekend and emailed them in advance inquiring about vegan options, as none were labelled on the menu. I got not one but TWO replies from separate people breaking down all of the off menu vegan options. Cut to the brunch - we are seated immediately. My initial chair was wobbly, no matter, I switched it out for (unfortunately) a much older gentleman to sit in it later on. Sorry! Our server came over and announced that the brunch menu includes a mimosa. Awesome! I informed the server about the secret vegan food we were looking to get and he went back to check with the kitchen. My mother was impressed that they brought out another chips and salsa without having to ask. We ordered the veggie fajitas which also came with rice and beans. Everyone enjoyed their food. A manager came by and chatted with us. All in all we were quite satisfied!

Great location! STL as a city is really putting themselves on the MAP as far as places to visit, shop, dine and enjoy. I was very impressed. While I know this is a franchise, we have one of these in Chicago as well. I'm just happy to see STL developing neighborhoods that are trendy with a large city vibe.

Came here for my birthday and the food was very homemade and delicious. I order a carne asada plate and an original margarita. They got a super spicy salsa ... you got top ask for it other wise they will bring you a mild one. And since it was my birthday they brought me a churro with a sparkler !!!! Very unique.

Reviews didn’t do this place justice! I thought it was amazing! Loved the environment. Higher end, not an “authentic” Mexican environment but I loved the higher end aspect to it.

I had a good time here. I love the fact there were bottomless chips and salsa. The guac was delicious. The Chicharrones? A nice touch. Casa Margaritas x 2 (pomegranate and then mango)were soooooooo good. I had the enchiladas, which were decent as well. The real star here was the dessert. I think passiin fruit was in the drizzle. A party of 4, with multiple deserts and options around 200 bucks. Not including the tip. Dope night out in Chicago.
