Menu Two Restaurant & Bar

    • our ever-changing menu has a true American heart. rural inspired dishes are presented with a playful, urban touch. our strong connections with midwest farmers, butchers, fishermen and foragers allow us to create everything from house made cheese, house smoked pig and lamb bacon and sausages to doing our own pickling. we even make grandma’s recipe for “puppy chow”.

I don’t understand how there isn’t just a constant line around the block for this place. It was amazing! I happened to come in on Taco Tuesday. They offer one meat and one veggie type each week. I had the mushroom taco and for $2 it was a STEAL: so fresh, and earthy. The bacon jam was slightly sweet, and more subtle in flavor than I expected. It paired perfectly with the ricotta. That combination on the smoky toasted ciabatta was the perfect appetizer with wine. My favorite was the octopus: it was SO tender. The charred romaine, citrus dressing and fresh corn that came with it just took the dish over the top. The staff couldn’t be any nicer, honestly. I want to say it’s my favorite restaurant in the city, but I’ve only been here once. I guess I’ll just have to return 🤷🏻‍♀️

Surprises don’t happen that often to me when go to the new restaurants but this one does. Everything in the food menu meant to be shared, portion sizes perfect for two and run by courses. Menu probably change every season too. Food come out looking or tasting anything like I imagined, but so tasty. There are perfectly salty, spicy and not too much of anything. Cocktails here are good too. There are simple but well balance of alcohol and mix. Services are excellent as well. I ordered four dishes and still have room for excellent cheese cake and port wine for dessert.

Absolutely loved it here. Small plates/tapas-style dining makes for a unique dining experience and makes it easy to try a little of everything. We ordered the pimento spread, roasted broccoli, seared lamb pesto, confit chicken and duck egg fettuccini. It's tough choosing a stand-out favorite as I'd love to eat all of it again, but that pimento and lamb were mind-blowing. I'm a sucker for a seasonal menu and this one changes often. Really looking forward to coming back soon. Great for a nice night out without being stuffy. Affordable, delightfully creative and delicious food, and wonderful staff.

Great culinary experience and fun spot overall. Very friendly staff. The drinks menu, though not broad, is inventive, and the food is great. Try the duck fettuccini for sure. There were some logistical issues the night we were there, and our wait was a bit on the long side. Without being prompted, the restaurant very courteously addressed this and it made us really appreciate the place all the more.

Great service, well executed cocktails and solid execution make this a safe choice. Musts : Duck fat potato croquettes are flavorful and melty In the mix : Pumpkin cavatelli is nicely paired with chorizo for a balanced and tasty pasta dish. Miss : Burger is decent but not up to the standards of the kitchen. Fries are small and runty.

First, I appreciated the fact that they sat us w/o having a reservation. The staff was very welcoming. Nice seating but the lighting was really dim, which made it difficult for my date to see the menu. Like the concept of ppl sharing their plates w/each other to creating a spirit of sharing; hence, the name of the restaurant...."TWO" We had a Salmon and Hanger Steak plate. The Salmon was just okay but the Steak was one of the best tasting from a restaurant!

Delicious, family sharing style new american fare with a ginormous selection of drinks. They have a seasonal menu and all ingredients are sourced fresh from farms. Chicken Roulade and Herbed Ricotta Cavatelli with Grilled Chicken are must-haves if they are on the menu. For the smaller plates, Green Beans with Roasted Peanuts stood out because of the sauce and the the interplay of flavors. Duck Egg Fettuccine, which they claimed to be their signature dish was a little bit of a let-down. Service, ambience, presentation, and vibe were all on point for a comfort, upscale dining experience as you'd expect from a Michelin Bib-gourmand. Would recommend 7-8 shared plates for a party of 5. Standard meals with drinks would fall around the $45 mark per person. Shout-out to Zelle for her service and picks.

Some of the best food I've had in chicago. I ordered 3 plates that came out to under 80 dollars. First we got the prawns. The prawns were so good I was thinking about them the next day. Next we got the duck fettuccini and it was very good and very rich. Lastly we got the steak and that was awesome as well. My favorite dish was a tie between all three. My date liked the prawns the most. Overall this was a great experience. It was the second time I went and both times every dish was amazing and completely worth it.
