This place is a gem! The outside seating and the delicious smell that welcomes you as you are passing by the place is just beautiful! The calamari was super good and the pasta dishes were fresh, flavorful, and very filling! Make sure you grab a bottle of wine as well!
A little more of a local vibe and not toursity. The food is excellent (especially the tiramisu) and priced fairly. I took the train from near the airport just to visit and I feel like it was worth the trip. I'll definitely be back.
We cleaned those plates! Loved the ambience. Got to watch the Sunday night football games as well. Would definitely come again!

From the moment I stepped in, the welcoming ambiance set the stage for a memorable evening. The service, consistently excellent, added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Attentive and friendly staff made us feel right at home.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food. The lemon chicken was a revelation, perfectly seasoned and cooked to tender perfection. Paired with a delightful Chianti, it created a symphony of flavors that left my taste buds dancing. The grilled calamari was another highlight, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and skilled preparation.

First time there and food was amazing and our server was very friendly. Love the atmosphere, the jerseys on the wall and historic photos everywhere at this old-school Italian restaurant. Highly recommend! Cash only and will visit again!
Nancy was amazing! Everything was delicious. Make sure to get the an order of the mussels with white wine sauce! The sausage and peppers were also very tasty! Thank you for an incredible meal at the end of our trip 😄
I’ve been coming here for 25 years and I will always come back. A family owned cash only restaurant where the menu is written on a chalkboard while you feel like you are in a Godfather movie makes the ambiance and atmosphere feel like home. The best Italian this side of Rome. The food is delectable. The bread is awesome and the Tufano’s salad is a must. The Angel hair pasta with mussels is my favorite, but the lobster ravioli and the veal parmigiana is delicious.
Old-school Italian Chicago restaurant. I have been coming here for years and continue to love every experience. The lemon chicken with potatoes is out of this world. I always get the potatoes extra well done. I also enjoy their house Chianti in a carafe. Calamari, mussels, you name it… It’s all delicious. Friendly helpful staff. The menu is on the chalkboard. They take Venmo now, it used to be all cash. A real Chicago experience..
Joann and the staff were terrific!!! Alexa waited on me and was outgoing and so helpful. 5 out 5 all day long.
