We had our first adventure with a personal shopper (Ana) who helped us pick out exactly what we wanted for our first dolls, which was very well coordinated with great customer service. The personal shopping experience was useful because the many doll choices can be overwhelming on 2 floors of dolls. After a wonderful hour of shopping and private box opening we went to have our American Girl Tea Party and birthday celebration. The dining area was large with lots of families celebrating birthdays. The many tea sandwiches and sweeties were excellent and our server David was super nice. Adults can have alcoholic beverages and the entire experience was fantastic, especially for Gramma‼️
This isn’t just a place for children, it’s also very enjoyable for adults! I brought my friend to the cafe to celebrate her birthday and we all had a wonderful time! The food was delicious and the service we received was excellent. We truly had an amazing time and will be returning.

The birthday party was really easy to plan and they handle everything, which was so nice. The cake was adorable and the goody bags were perfect.
They have dolls and doll chairs you can use if you dont have one!
The store is fabulous with a lot to do, they have revamped it and it is gorgeous. The doll salon is a must go and the hair dos are so cute for girls and dolls alike!
Parking is a bit pricey but you can get cheaper sometimes buying ahead. We paid 40 and were there for about 5ish hours.

It has been a dream of mine since I was at least 7 to own an AG doll, it was just never accessible at the time for my family to take a trip to a store. Now at age 26, I am a doll collector. Me and my boyfriend planned a trip to Chicago, as an early birthday gift he surprised me with a trip to pick out my first doll and have my first ever in store visit. The window displays approaching the store was so BEAUTIFUL! Entering the store the energy felt magical. We were greeted by an extremely sweet lady (who I wish I caught her name) on the lower level, I think she had a feeling one of my top choices was Lila. We walked over to Lila’s collection on the lower level, and I knew after a closer look at her… she chose me. The same lady even cleared off a display for me to open up each box to choose the doll with the perfect lash placement and even provided us with a bag for easier flow. We then entered the upper level, which in my opinion has some of the best store displays and my boyfriend loved interacting with each display. We had another amazing lady (who yet again I wish I remembered her name) ask if I had any questions or needed help locating anything let her know. Just very attentive while we walked through making some final decisions on what else I wanted to purchase. Luckily I do remember Addie, she checked us out. I provided them with a little back story and how this was my first ever experience, just very incredible accepting women. Which such a rarity for a adult doll collector, and they alone helped make my overall experience even more just as magical as it was picking out my first doll. We even got an early lunch/dinner reservation booked for the AG Cafe and the food was INCREDIBLE! Highly recommend the AG burger and the pizza, our server I believe was Raymondo. He even gave me a candle to blow out for my birthday with our dessert. Just overall the experience was everything I had ever dreamed thanks to AG Chicago. If you’re looking to witness great costumer service, this store is the place to go! I cannot recommend it enough.
Great experience. Staff was so kind and welcoming. Hair styling team did a great job rehabbing our dolls’ hair.

My 5 yo daughter LOVED our trip here. Her AG doll got hair do ,and nails done. Her stylist, went above and beyond, entertaining my daughter grandmas, and me while beautifying the dolls. She really was the best. My daughter pushed Bitty around the store in a pram, played in the playhouses.
It was awesome to see such a great service, The manager of the store made our experience 10x better. She’s a real life doll. She made sure we got everything we needed. She’s so polite, kind, and helpful.

The cafe was perfect for lunch. The doll had a high chair at the table and got plates and cups to bring home.
Our server was knowledgeable about everything on the menu.
There was a nice variety of food and the 5 people in my party were satisfied.
After receiving a cup and saucer for her doll my daughter (3yr) asked our waiter Max where her tea was. He was kind and said “oh I brought you your soda!”
Each time he passed working hard she asked him for “her tea”.
A few minutes later he came out with a tea pot of her soda and a tea cup for her.
Her big brother (5yr) is disabled and by necessity gets a lot of my attention but Max made her feel so special! She got to have a tea party with her doll!
The food was good… but Max made our visit magic!
We went to AGD for the first time Friday for my niece’s birthday. It was a wonderful experience everyone was super nice made her feel so special. We also had lunch at their restaurant on the 2nd floor. The food was great for the serving size. Definitely recommended the experience
If you've got a daughter this is the place to go. Definitely the next level version of the store. Multiple stories and tons of things beyond just the dolls and clothes. Pretty impressive.
