My fiancé and I had an amazing experience at Kiki's. We went there to celebrate his birthday. It wasn't too busy on a Tuesday evening, which I attribute to its slightly out-of-the-way neighborhood location. The restaurant was perfectly lit with hanging candles—such a cool touch—and well-decorated. Very classy. There were a couple regulars at the bar and the atmosphere was jovial yet refined. The service was also excellent. We were greeted with a smile and offered coat check. Our waiter was very nice and because it was a slow night, the food came out extremely promptly, less than ten minutes at most after we ordered. Speaking of the food, it was all amazing. We had three appetizers: the French onion soup, which is one of their signature dishes (so I'm told), the foie gras, and the frog legs (which I was nervous about). We loved them, and we weren't too full to enjoy our entrees, the duck and the lamb shanks. My fiancé said his duck was the best he's ever had, and I felt the same way about my lamb, which was tender and flavorful. For drinks, he had Duvel, a strong Belgian, and I had sparkling rosé (nothing special, but well-priced) and Kiki's martini, which was a martini flavored with white grape juice, which made it sweet, pretty (almost iridescent), and easy to drink. I don't usually drink martinis, so I appreciated the flavor, but a more experienced drinker might have the opposite reaction. Finally, we shared the crême brulée, which again was delicious—crunchy and rich, and came with a candle for the birthday boy. There was some chocolate at the bottom of the dish, which I didn't enjoy as much (I'm not a chocolate fan) but my fiancé loved. I don't usually write these reviews, but I hope I've convinced readers to give Kiki's a try if they haven't already. I expect they'll have just as amazing, relaxed, classy, and delicious experience as we did.

I have known Kiki for several decades. I had wonderful memories of "Le Bordeaux Restaurant"; the latter was Mr. Georges Cuisance's first restaurant in Chicago. All the French people living or working in Chicago used to hung out there. Kiki's Bistro offers not only an extensive list but also themost outstanding wines in Chicago. The food is always very good and makes up for missing my beautiful country i.e. France. I will recommend having dinner to any resident or visitor in Chicago as Kiki's is a mirror of a Parisian café. Thank you Kiki, Denise and the entire staff for the wonderful evenings we have spent at your classy "Brasserie". We shall return soon.

Best mushroom soup and best lemon tart I have ever had!! All the food was awesome, the ambiance was very nice. The waitresses were amazing I didn't even notice when they refilled drinks. If I lived in Chicago this would be a regular for me!!

The food was delicious. The portions were generous. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. This was my first trip to Chicago and Kiki’s was a highlight. It’s a little off the main downtown area, but certainly worth the trip!

Been going to Kiki's for years. I cannot say I have ever had a bad meal here. If you like pate, have the smooth duck pate. It's phenomenal! The duck entree is also another favorite. Kiki has an excellent wine list and the service is always top-notch.

We came in on a whim (we stayed at the nearby Fieldhouse Jones), and were pleasantly surprised. We had three small children, which I wouldn't recommend, but the staff were very courteous and considerate. Our meal was outstanding; absolutely delicious. We would love to go back for date night. Great wine selection and great atmosphere. Top notch all around. Highly recommend.

Great ambiance with fantastic bistro style French food. One of the best bistro french food in town. Service could be slow when busy but you can always nibble on French baguette while enjoying a glass of wine. Reservation not required but would be a good idea.

Great classic bistro food! I've been coming here for years with my wife, and everything is always outstanding. The staff is very friendly, and the ambiance is nice and cozy. Perfect for a date night. I highly recommend the French onion soup and steak pommes frites. 5/5 keep up the good work Kiki!

For family style french cooking, this is my go to downtown. You can usually see Kiki in the restaurant running the place and very approachable. The food is done just right, nothing fancy but if you have taste bistro style french food in France, you will know that this is highly comparable. Whether it is the duck the steaks, the seafood and even the appetizers and soups are quite authentic. You will also see the old school waiting staff there especially during the weekends. It is a rare find.
