This was the perfect little lunch stop my husband and myself. We were taking in Chicago for our anniversary and stopped here for a light lunch. The staff were excellent, very friendly, I had a mojito and asked them to add extra sweetener and it came out perfect. We both shared a bowl of the drunken mussels, they were mouth watering, lots of garlic and the sauce was great soaked up on the bread. All and all not a disappointment very glad we stopped and would do it again.
What a glorious feast. Started with guest appetizers courtesy of the owner - who likes Bostonians. The food and beer was phenomenal. I had Smithwicks - highly re commend if you like a dark beer. Good company, great food, lovely waitstaff. Try it out.
Loved Emerald Loop - will definitely be back there on our next trip to Chicago! Amazing atmosphere, phenomenal menu (both food and beverage), and wonderfully friendly staff. Awesome place - check it out!
For being my first time there, it was a good experience ....the drink was made better than my own and the food came a bit late but once it got to our table , we ate like no tomorrow. Great place to go if you are staying at the Manoco hotel across the street to eat and drink š· thanks for the service
Last night we had the best Nachos ever! Cool bartender, good beer, great service.......will visit again.....from California.
We had a group event at this fine Irish Pub on Saturday April 8th. The area was just the right size and the food was excellent! Our server was wonderful. We had a fabulous time and recommend this fine establishment. SlƔinte!
Fantastic service, fantastic food, I couldn't say enough good things about this place...and we visited them on one of their busiest days imaginable. Bravo to you all!!!!
The Guinness night at Emerald Loop was amazing. So much fun! Thanks to all the management and staff of the Emerald Loop and thanks to the Guinness Ambassador for a wonderful evening!
They were extremely busy, got seated immediately. Waitress was at the table with menu and took out drink order. Drinks were spot on and she checked backed often. Donāt remember her name but service was outstanding. Kitchen was overwhelmed but food was good.
We weren't originally going to go here but they had a lot of open seats and it was close to where we needed to go. The staff was the best part - they were friendly, kind, considerate and did their best to accommodate our group. The food was average - nothing special and you probably wont remember it too well after the fact but the location is really convenient and the prices are comparable to higher end options so this would be a good fit for people who prefer dive bars, causal dining, larger groups, kids and casual events.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Emerald Loop. The service was wonderful and our waitress was super nice. The Chirish Burger was fantastic, great flavors. The shepherds pie was also a very good, reliable meal, nothing unexpected, and it's huge! We ordered the pretzel and it was soft and tasty. There was plenty of food as they are very generous with portions. The tables near the bar are very poorly lit, which makes it difficult to see the food but that is the only complaint, everything else was lovely.
We stopped in for a snack and a drink. We saw the weekend special and were like, ok yes letās do that! $20 bottle of champagne with juiceā¦. Itās CAVA that they bring you, not champagneā¦. But still does the job! We had two bottles! Ordered some nachos with brisket. They were ok. Needed to be more cheesy and the brisket was cubed not shredded. We didnāt hate it. Definitely would come back if weāre in the area for a cocktail. The Christmas decorations made it feel very āhome-ieā loved them. Photos attached!
The cheese curds and curry chicken were fantastic. The drinks were great as well. Very lively place, so it is loud. The bouncer was super nice. He gave us some recommendations on food and also offered to throw away some trash we had on us coming in.
Highly recommended upbeat Irish bar for anyone visiting Chicago! The building architecture is vintage and has that satisfying authentic feel to it. Right downtown as well
Pretty nice atmosphere very welcoming , i sat at the bar which was easy to find. The bartender was super friendly and informative. Ordered the Fish and Chips and waffle fries. It was an awesome large portion with crispy magicalness. The coleslaw was creamy just how I like, and magical Tartar sauce. I think it is maybe the largest portion of Fish and Chips I have ever consumed.. great beer selection.. great music also
Came across this restaurant while walking around Chicago and it was a fantastic find. Atmosphere was good and the food was excellent. I had the brisket grilled cheese, which was something I'd never tried before and I'm very glad that I did.
Food and drinks were really good. Service was excellent. Happy hour options.
Delicious pub food! The Shepherds pie was enough food for 3 people! Brisket grilled cheese was yummy!
Everything seems to close by 11pm here and we were hungry. Found this late night place to eat near the L-train. Itās very loud inside, I suppose ācause thereās nearly nothing else open nearby. Lots of folks from late night Friday partying by the looks of it. There is a quieter patio outside.
Ordered some rather large-sized delicious wings, cooked perfectly, crispy outer skin and juicy chicken. The Korean sweet chilli wings were tasty and the hot sauce wings were not very hot at all for me but still very tasty.
And the beer special was absolutely quenching that thirst from a record-breaking temperature sort of day.
Food and drinks are fantastic. The late night hours are no joke either.
The food was amazing!! Our server Shannon made great recommendations and provided excellent service!
Really cool authentic Chicago joint. Had a party of 5 during the lunch hour and everyone was more than satisfied with their food choices. Quick, friendly service- never ran short on drinks. Would recommend to anyone.
My friends and I came here for food during happy hour, and it was amazing! The food was great, the service was also amazing, and the atmosphere was so cozy and all decorated for the holidays. We all had a great time and I will definitely return!
The food is delicious. Iāve tried the steak quesadillas, hickory burger, onion rings, and fries. Today, I enjoyed the Shepards Pie & Cheese Curds. My server Ana is the reason I took the time out to leave a review today. She deserves recognition! She was the best. Thank you team!
Downtown for a night out and this was close to our hotel. We had fish fry and shepherds pie. It was delicious. Creamy mashed potatoes meat and fresh veggies. Big enough for 2.
Great place. Wonderful service. Good food and beer. Very reasonable price. It was a bit too loud, but what can we expect in a good place on Saturday night.
Classic Irish pub vibes here at the Emerald Loop. You have a choice to enjoy the pub ambience inside or the beautiful city outside. The food was good, a lot of good options on the menu. There are many craft beers and cocktail selections. The hospitality and service was okay. The best part of Emerald Loop is the location. It's located in Chicago's infamous "Loop" and is within a couple minute walk of the River.
This place was really close to hotel I was in. Food and service were amazing! The BBQ burger was delicious and one of the best I have had. The waflle fries were amazing too! Check this place out if you are nearby!
