Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! The finest seafood in all of Chicago! Worth every penny and more! I have never been to a better place for the freshest and most delicious seafood! The stone crab claws were my splurge and the Giant claw did not disappoint! Surf and turf was a show stopper too with the house seasoning on the side as an extra perk. Our lovely server Lindsey made the evening so much more enjoyable with her recommendations. Service and selection were top notch. Every detail perfectly attended! Staff very professional and attentive. I loved the live music. Everything about this place is classy, sophisticated and memorable. I will be recommending this place for years to come and look forward to many more visits!
I was beyond impressed with Trulucks which in my book is unparalleled!
It’s a must go and to top it all off, they serve BAKED ALASKA!
Food was delicious!! Everything we expected and more. Lobster tails were to die for and huge!!! Some of the best cocktails around. Live music made it a night worth while!! Recommend this place for dinner every night.
I had a wonderful dining experience at Truluck’s! I LOVE the bar and lounge area. The bar display was so colorful and attractive. I actually liked sitting in the lounge better than the dining room. There was a live pianist and her voice was absolutely beautiful. Definitely a vibe. All the food and drinks were amazing. Seriously, no complaints. The cocktail “Pretty in Pink” was so good that I had 2! Also I loved the presentation of the Voila cocktail and the waiter had the bartender put “Blood Orange Ice Berg” in a martini glass for me 🥰 The chocolate cake was delectable! I can’t wait to return!
The service here was amazing. Ambiance was nice and the piano player sang some great songs that had you moving a little bit while at your seat. I’m giving this place a 4 because you have to choose your dish wisely in order to have a great eating experience. The scallops were great. Sea bass was tasty. Branzino was very bland and their sides were eh. Lobster bisque was delicious and oysters fresh. There’s not a dish I’m craving to go back for but it was a good place to try.
My first experience at Truluck’s (Brickell) Miami, was far more than I expected. All of the small details really do matter…the light-up menus, wine selections, curated cocktails, and fine prime seafood were absolutely fantastic!
My friends and I dropped in for drinks and the food was amazingly delicious and well prepared! Each entree was hot (not warm) and ready to eat. The waiter Andrew (Jamaican king) was well versed and knowledgeable of every facet the restaurant had to offer. Hoping one is opened in Tennessee soon!
Quality of the food overall was very good. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with the family. We had a great table. The Hawaiian tuna crudo was not my favorite. I'm a huge tuna and crudo fan but this rendition was overwhelmed with too much dill, grape and tomato. Hard to find the tuna in the mix.
Also had the Calamari, flavor was good but a little too salty. The yellowtail and seabass were fresh. The yellowtail was also a tad bit salty. Carrot cake was very good. Overall we had a very good meal.
2nd time I have been here and loved it. High quality food with fresh flavors and many vegetarian options. If you are looking for a special occasion place, this is the place to go. Very pricey but you get what you pay for. Miso fish could have had more flavor. Cauliflower steak, shrimp cocktail, desserts, lobster ravioli special and cocktails were on point!
I would recommend this place for dinner, especially when Nyla McDaniel is singing!
We called ahead to see who was performing, and when we heard it was Nyla we rushed in to get a table. The service, food and drinks were great, and sitting in the bar area with live music was really what made the evening outstanding.
The food and drink that I liked most were the crab fried rice and spicy blackberry margarita. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Outstanding food and beautifully crafted cocktails!! Justin was our server, he answered all our questions and had really great recommendations! We had the lobster, ahí tuna, vegan Bolognese and seabass. The baked Alaska dessert was delicious too! Highly recommend.
A step up from McCormick. Went for Happy hour and was satisfied. Limited wines, but it is a happy hour. Seafood was excellent shrimp and oysters. Of the 15 couples ten were familiar to the serving staff and bartenders a good sign of an upscale neighborhood place where you wa ant to go. I will come back.
We are frequent dinners at Shaw's and Joe's, they all serve similar type of food, seafood (stone crab), steak and chops, the quality are always exceptional. We tried Truluck's for the first time, usually we don't care much for chain establishments, this location used to be a McCormic and Schmick's that was ran down.
Reece was our server, the service was exceptional and the food was prepared to perfection. We enjoyed the seafood celebration appetizer, wedge salad, clam chowder, branzino and the surf and turf. Wrapped up with the Baked Alaska and Coffee. We will surely visit again.
Just in case, it is something we didn't know. There is a dress code here, no hats. Doesn't matter how e expensive it is...lol
Excellent dining experience. From the ambiance to the menu choices it is truly a most enjoyable place to dine. We tried the seasonal oysters and escargot to start and were very impressed in addition to the garlic parmesan rolls. Next was a cup of lobster bisque and followed by the petite lobster tale and a king crab leg with sides of kung pao cauliflower and creamed spinach. Last bust not least a desert of baked Alaska. Overall I couldn't recommend or rate this place any higher.
