Amazing service in a great location in the loop. We had an amazing waiter who gave us honest opinions on the items on the menu and also gave my kids a free ice cream. I would recommend the Rigatoni Vodka Cream Sauce with chicken or sausage and the Seafood Pasta. Also there are great photos of historical Chicago figures and celebrities all through the restaurant that give it a unique atmosphere. Parking is right across the street from the restaurant along with being behind the Goodman Theater and the two "L" stops makes this place a can't miss for a family outing.
We drove into Chicago from Michigan on the Friday before Labor Day. After we parked the car, it was already after 8:00pm, so we found this place on google and since the reviews were good, decided to walk here and have dinner. It was 8:30pm when we walked in and there was no wait, in fact the place was fairly empty. The staff at the door were friendly and seated us quickly. My wife and I both ordered the Mafalde which is a pasta with Short rib sauce and my Dad ordered the Salmon Pesto. All of us really enjoyed our food, it was good. My 82 year old Dad is very particular regarding how much salt is in his food and he usually sticks to grilled fish. He said his Salmon was perfect for him and not too salty. We had a couple beers as well. The lady serving us was helpful when we asked about menu items and she had a very pleasant attitude. The atmosphere of this restaurant is cozy/casual and we liked it. We would definitely stop in here again to try something else on the menu.
Classic Italian restaurant well located next to the Goodman theatre. Beautiful decor with some great sketches of famous actors on the walls. Service was good and the outside seating was a great place to people watch. The risotto was very tasty but the mushroom Alfredo was a bit too one dimensional and lacked a variety of flavours and textures.
