We've ordered from this place a number of times, and always enjoyed it. Going to the restaurant this weekend was a huge treat. As always, the pizza was exceptional, and so was the service. We can recommend: Mais, (No, really, it's fantastic. I was skeptical too) Rosso Diavolo, or Red Devil, which is spicy but SO good, Locale, with some of the best sausage I've ever eaten, Carbonara, and Margherite, as well as the Toscana salad. Now I want to try everything on the menu.
This place is simply amazing! My wife and I have been going since they first opened. No matter how much time between visits - we are greeted like we are family! The customer service they provide - is top notch! Jeremy hands down, is our favorite. He goes above and beyond, always has a welcoming smile and his professionalism far exceeds expectations! From the fried calamari and perfect pizza selections to the indescribable Nutella Pie - Forno Rosso is a wonderful place to dine!!
My wife and I have been here about 3 or 4 times now and each dining experience has been great. I recommend asking for Natalia to be your server. She has made great suggestions and somehow she remembers what we have ordered and will suggest other items to try so we don't always ask for the same thing. The meatballs app, the artisan pizza made with fresh ingredients and flour imported from Italy is some of the best pizza I've ever had and that's coming from a person who has dined around the world. The deserts are to die for. Go ahead and order a bottle of wine. If for some reason you can't finish the bottle they'll cork it up to take home. The manager is very friendly and treats us like family.

What a fun evening we had when visiting this restaurant. Worth the hour or twos drive from downtown in the pouring rain. We missed our booking slot but didn't have too long to wait for the staff to fit us in even though the restaurant was heaving with customers when we arrived on a Friday evening. Great atmosphere and clearly lots of regulars that visit. The manager came over to introduce himself and brought us all a shot of some sort to try. The server gave us the low down on the type of pizza cooked, how unique it is, and what was the best to order - we were not disappointed. We left extremely full and lots of pizza to take home to enjoy the next day too. Would thoroughly recommend you visit this friendly restaurant.
On 7/29/15 Nice seating, friendly service. We were hungry and the wood burning pizzas came out very fast. Fresh and delicious pizza ingredients! Also amazing strawberry basil martini! The bar inside looks very classy.
I would order everything again and try something new!
I travel quite a bit domestically and am always on the hunt for Neapolitan, wood fired, and/or coal fired types of pizzas. My favorites are Isabella's Brick Oven Pizza in Little Italy in Baltimore (MD), Tony's Pizza in San Francisco (CA), and Matchbox Vintage Pizza Bistro in Chinatown in Washington (DC); however, Forno Rosso is definitely ranked up there. What makes this place so memorable is their staff. Nick (the owner), George (the manager), and Valentina (our waitress) made my wife, parents, and me feel very welcomed and special. Not only did they accommodate my wish for an off-menu pizza with arugula, prosciutto, pears, walnuts, gorgonzola, mozzarella, and mascarpone,...but they also gave us free (and great tasting) limoncello shots for my mom's b-day. The tiramisu, Italian craft beers, and espresso are all very good...and everything is so reasonably priced. It was worth the 1+ hour drive from the Plainfield/Naperville area. We will be back for sure!!!
The star of this pizza show was the oil and the pizza crust. It's like you've got to eat the pizza just to get to the crust so you can dip it in the oil.
The oil is heat with no spice. It's magical.
The pizzas themselves where excellent. But the oil! Wow! Unlocked a new taste sensation.
We went for lunch on Sunday, our server was Teddy, he was very friendly and helpful. Great customer service. Food was fast and delicious. Very traditional, cooked on wooden oven. He was also so kind to give us recommendations and to explain the main concept of the restaurant. It’s also a certified traditional Italian restaurant. Atmosphere is also great, quiet and pleasant. Overall it was a wonderful experience. Looking forward to come back soon. Thanks. Pd. Wine selection was excellent as well. And you can pick to either have your meal indoors or outdoors.
After hearing about the authentic Neapolitan pizza at Forno Rosso, I had to stop in to try it out. I ordered the "Bufalina" pizza (pictured) and it truly was delicious. The pizza was every bit as authentic and flavorful as a real Neapolitan pizza. All of the ingredients were super tasty and fresh. My only regret was that there wasn't more of it! Truly great pizza. And, the pizza was served with a bottle of their own "sweet and spicy" sauce which also lived up to its billing. The staff was also terrific at Forno Rosso, they made a wonderful meal that much more enjoyable. I would very highly recommend Forno Rosso for authentic Neapolitan 🍕🍕🍕 pizza!
I recently visited this Napoletana pizzeria and had an amazing experience! The pizzas were absolutely delicious, and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed them. The frito misto was a delightful surprise, bursting with flavors. Make sure to save room for dessert, as they have some amazing options. However, one small issue we encountered was that the window to the patio remained open, causing the smell of cigarettes to drift inside, even though we were seated indoors. Additionally, some of the staff members weren't particularly friendly. Overall, it's a great place for delicious food, just keep in mind the minor downsides.
I come here often because the food is so delicious and the ingredients are fresh. Yesterday I came in to have dinner outside and was harassed by another patron who was being really racist. The owner handled the entire situation very well. Actually I would say it was exceptional, he offered the patron another option for dining inside, and he gave me free desert which is pictured and a complimentary meal. It was so unexpected and such a blessing to see someone care.
Always have the best pizzas and the best cannoli. Staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and attending, ambience is cozy and casual, no wait line, pretty spacious. Love going there
Went to this next neighborhood restaurant at the recommendation of my sister. Man was it delicious. Everything was so tasty. My Italian beer was great. The oven roasted olives and salads were great. That evening’s special, gnocchi, was phenomenal, some of the best I’ve ever had. The service was spot on, checking in on us at the right times. The owner or manager swung by to thank us for coming. What a great find, thanks sis’.
I got recommendations for this place from my Italian friend, he said this is the closest to famous Italian pizza in wood fire oven! And we are amazed by taste and service! Everything is great! Thanks

Hidden gem tucked away in a small strip mall. I'd never noticed it before, we're glad Google suggested it. Our server (Battle) was very friendly and knowledgeable. The owner/manager walked around making sure everyone was doing all right. The pizza (Margarita w/sausage) was delicious, we also had the freshest Bruschetta I've had in quite some time. This will definitely be our pizza spot from now on. 👍🏽
First time visiting the Harlem Ave location. We ordered the the roasted beet salad as a starter and the pizza Vesuvio with fresh anchovies for our entree. Both were super delicious with tasty fresh top quality ingredients. It’s very authentic pizza just as it is served in Italy if you’re looking for real pizza with a wood-fired baked crust. Our server was also very courteous, sweet and attentive. We will definitely return here again!
