I love coming to this cozy cafe, it’s usually not overcrowded which I love. Service is usually good but last time I was here the server forgot to bring the mocha I asked for and also she never brought cutlery so I had to steal them from the empty table next to us.
Definitely a place to visit if you want to avoid the rest of the overcrowded and pricey places in west loop.
A solid brunch place overall. We had a party of 10 and the server was kind enough to allocate two separate tables next to each other in a bit of a cramped area already. Ended up getting the Smoked Salmon Benedict with a side of Corn Beef Hash. The Hash was great - really tasty especially with some ketchup. While the benedict was good, I found the egg yolk to be overcooked and not runny at all; not sure if intentional or just served that way. Overall good.
Came here as a group of 5 and the food was really good and service was excelent!
Everything we ordered from waffles, salads, wrap and eggs was all delicious no complaints here! They have a variety of smoothies and alcoholic baverages to choose from. And their employees were super nice and on top of things from refills to keeping the table tidy. Definitely recommend 😁!
Decided to stop by this place for a light breakfast. Wife got the beet juice, yogurt and I went with the salmon Benedict with hash. This was delicious! I tried some of my wife’s yogurt and it was delicious as well. Definitely recommend you stop by this place to eat.
Lovely ambience and good staff. The food is delicious but very much overrated. The portion is generous but the price is higher than it should be for the quality offered - though it goes with how things work in Greek town. I enjoyed my visits ordering the Meli Salad (cold chicken salad with avocado and greens), Salmon Salad, and the banana pancake. Though I do not suggest the breakfast chilaquiles: very much disappointing! Hard to find a street parking!
A local favorite in the West Loop and it doesn’t disappoint.
I had a delicious mixed of small plates, definitely have one of their juices (I had their Rejuvenator and it was deliciously fresh.
The service was ok. Our waitress seemed annoyed with asking for so many plates and options but she was effective.
If you go early in the morning , you’ll definitely find a crowd. They only serve breakfast through lunch. Easy to find. Good street parking options and easy to come in/out due to proximity to the highway.
One of greektowns finest brunch spots Meli Cafe. Always a warm welcome and attentive staff. Pancakes are light fluffy and crisp on the edges, add chocolate chips and whipped cream for the sweet tooth in you. Splurge on a juice, fresh squeezed on site, one of the tastiest Orange Juices you will find. Eggs are cooked as you order so don't forget to get some sides of bacon, sausage or chicken sausage for those who are watching their figure. The regular menu hasn't changed but they added better kids selection for the growing west loop families. Wait times are worth it, get here before 10:45 am before the rush.
The food here is amazing for a decent price. Our waitress Mariana was amazing and super sweet. The side of fruit was fresh and delicious. If you’re a chocolate milk fan please try the chocolate milk as it’s delicious and tastes like a little slice of heaven. My 3 other friends loved their meals as well. Our food was out within minutes of ordering food with the restaurant decently busy. The staff was attentive and respondent to our needs. The only downside was that they couldn’t split our check four ways. It’s only a slight downside which is well outweighed by all of the positives for the restaurant. I would definitely recommend overall to come here.
We haven't eaten here in a while but always had good experiences before and this latest visit reminded us of how good their food is. My wife said they make cheese grits the way she does and she really liked them for that. My farmers bowl was delicious with nice cuts of meat and fresh veggies. Two thumbs up!
Decent food in a cozy atmosphere. A little bit overpriced but not terrible for the area. Service was decent. Lots of gluten free options, however don’t expect all of them to be available. I at first ordered gluten free crepes, and they told me that they didn’t have them today. I ordered the gluten free french toast instead which was still good, but I was disappointed nonetheless since I was anticipating crepes.
