Upstairs At The Gwen - Chicago - Photo album

Went to this place for lunch, and it did not disappoint. The food was spectacular, and the drinks were delicious. We went during the day, so we weren't expecting much of the view on a Friday afternoon, but I imagine being out of the patio at night with the fires going makes the place even more incre
This was my first time here and it's located on the 5th floor. I sat at the bar. The food is above average and the drinks are great. Also, the service was really good. Overall, a nice little spot to have a drink or two. Photos below: 1. Breakfast potatoes 2. Bacon 3. Cocktail with tequila 4. Outsid
Although we did not make it to the rooftop as rain occurred, we enjoyed a cocktail inside at the bar lounge. Great location, friendly staff.
The Bar at the Gwen hotel is an above average option for people in town wanting a drink, and a particularly good option for those staying at the hotel. Prices were high, but options were fairly varied and service was solid.
I made reservation to celebrate my bachelorette with my cousins and sister. It was a fantastic time! And I’m particular. Our server Michael was amazing. He was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The drinks were on point and delicious. The wings were finger-licking tasty. The ambiance was inviti
The selection of food and drinks was very diverse. I want to go curling next time. Heads up it requires a reservation before going. Besides that it was a fun experience.
Such a fun experience dining here! We reserved for 2 a week in advance and had such a nice little spot on the rooftop on a comfortable couch and with places to kick up our feet and relax. Our food took awhile but it was fine- the environment was JUST what we wanted for a relaxed and romantic experie
Had a good breakfast after a night stay. Happy that they start early for early risers like me. Service was quick and the food good. There is nothing bad about this place. But then nothing stood out as being outstanding either. Food items were solid - particularly vegetables. Cocktails were good but not memorable. If the drinks are going to be close to $20 per drink, I should expect more. Same with desserts. It is a nice outdoor
My wife and I has the most wonderful experience on Saturday evening 11-11-2023. Our server Michael was so professional and welcoming to us. I can truly say I look forward hosting private dining events there and recommend this restaurant. Thank you Michael you are amazing.
This is one of my favorite little secret spots ;) I could write pages about this hidden gem but I’ll spare you the boring details. It’s an art-deco inspired rooftop lounge at the Gwen Hotel located in downtown Chicago with a fantastic menu of small plates and delicious cocktails. It’s a laid back, a
Would you say this place is hidden? It kinda is. Lovely spot where you can grab some rooftop. Not the most spectacular views, but you're in the middle of Chicago, what more could you want? Tasty food. Standout here is the cocktail menu, which if memory serves seems to change themes with the seasons.
Great roof top bar for happy hour. We ordered food which wasn't that good but the outdoor feel with gas heaters was fabulous
First time at this establishment and I would definitely visit again. I like the set up of the rooftop. The two items that stood out to me was The Chicken Caesar and the Churros. They were both amazing! I didn’t really care for my Jamaican rum drink, told the waitress about it, and she offered to ad
