Blackbird

We came for the restaurant week menu and you get what you pay for. Because of the low price, I felt that their use of ingredients were not the best or they did not fully exploit their ingredients to their full potential. The first course was the best among all, dessert was also good. Reasonable price for their wine listings. The environment was very loud, but was expected for restaurant week. The servers were attentive for such a busy place.

We had the chefs 6 course selection on a weeknight which was fabulous. They accommodated my gluten allergy by switching out beer broth muscles for these AMAZING blueberry ribs. Seriously some of the best meat I’ve had and the highlight of this meal. Other than this the desert was wonderful and the service was nice too. Didn’t love some of the other dishes sauce pairings. Was a little too salty for me. But nonetheless a great dinner for a special occasion.

We went here for lunch and it was certainly a very unique experience. The menu reminded me of French cuisine and the meal was well prepared with lunch-appropriate portion sizes. What was remarkable was the extensive wine list with some really fine French wines from. Price wise it was a bit more than what I would usually pay for lunch, but the food quality justified the price. Definitely a place to impress your business partners with.

Small and Cozy contemporary American with a bit of French twist. Not too pricey but do not expect to get a lot of food which is perfect for date night. Noise level is a little high but acceptable for a conversation. Both food and service are exceptional. Will definitely visit again. There is a great wine pairing menu.

Superb service. Thank you Heather!! We sat right in front of the kitchen, we get to witness all the hard work in making sure everything come out perfectly. Food was amazing. Perfect portion for the tasting menu, it was a bit daunting looking at the menu at first. All the food came in perfect order to allow appreciation in every bite. My favorite were the tomatoes with yuzu, monkfish, and the very surprising fun dessert. I would definitely go back again for the monkfish. The barbeque sunchokes were my least favorite due to overly salty for my personal liking.

The prie fixe lunch menu at Blackbird is a phenomenal value at 25 per person pre tip and tax. The service is also excellent, even if you are only going for lunch. The front of house staff is very friendly and detail oriented. They will make your dining experience very comfortable. Blackbird's dinner menu is also very tasty, however, I would argue is less of a value than the prie fixe lunch, especially for the price conscious. The appetizers and desserts were delightful and highlighted the meal. The mains were also very satisfactory but not as much to rave about. Each plate at Blackbird is served with tremendous care and is a work of art in and of themselves. Expect the meal to run at least 2 hours or more in most cases.

Delicious and sumptuous meal that is meticulously prepared. The taste and presentation are superb!! The staff are attentive, more than happy to share their love for the food and drinks being served, and polite. I shared multiple dishes with a friend (they are very accommodating and pre-split some of the dishes for us), and there is also a tasting menu with wine paring available. The food was exquisite and I would definitely recommend for a special night out!!
