Topolobampo - Chicago - Photo album

Had a private party at the library room at Topolobampo. Very tasty food in a nice ambience. There is a nice mirror that shows the food being prepared. And it is apparently the largest library of Mexican cookbooks in the country. Food was tasty though portion size was a touch small. Staff is friendly
Exceptional. We attended Topolobambo for the first time for their Day of the Dead menu. From the service to the wine selection to the tasting menu, every aspect of the experience was phenomenal. We were thrilled to see Rick Bayless present and speaking with patrons. Some highlights for us were the P
Experienced "The Art Menu" and it was delicious from start to finish. "Puesta Del Sol" course was my favorite, but each was as visually stunning as they were tasty.
Really nice spot hidden within frontera. The service was excellent and the food was top notch. Really enjoyed the wine pairings as well. Did a really good job with dietary restrictions (pescatarians and vegetarian) so would highly recommend on those fronts as well. Will certainly be back.
Topolobampo is a must try in Chicago! The experience from beginning to end is incredible! All the dishes are flavorful, well balanced, yet still tastes like authentic Mexican food. There were only a couple of dishes that were slightly oversalted, but we still ate everything. I highly recommend addi
An elegant set dinner in a beautiful space. Overall, my brother and I enjoyed the six-course meal, made up solely of ingredients from the pre-Columbian world. However, while the dishes were incredibly flavorful and bold, I found the absence of dairy and sugar resulted in an unmet need for something
Experience was great! We had to wait a little but they took care of us for that mishap.
We went here for a pre-columbian tasting menu, featuring ingredients from Central America prior to the Spanish colonial period. The food offered unusual tastes that you probably have not encountered. The flavors are generally creamy but light with a hint of spiciness. The service was quite good, tho
Best Mexican fine dining in the US. Novel ideas with Mexican ingredients, culture, and skills! Visited a few times for their seasonal tasting menu.
The dining experience was phenomenal. Each dish was absolutely delicious. The flavors were vibrant, and the portions were perfect. (Well, it was definitely enough food — but the flavors were so great, we found ourselves wishing there was more, and trying to savor each little crumb.) And their mole,
Outstanding staff and food that, one can tell, has been made with a burning passion. We had the Dia De Los Muertos Oaxaca menu 2021 with the wine pairing. Every single course was exquisite and the presentation was extraordinary. I would certainly recommend for those looking for an authentic Mexican
My first-ever michelin star experience! And I wasn't disappointed at all! The taste is just amazing! Do try the Duck Carnitas (the meat is so soft it'll melt in your mouth) and Pollo en Pipian Verde! Photos attached: tequitos, pollo en, duck carnitas
Great experience with their Oaxacan Holiday Meal dinner.
Beyond amazing. In my top 5 restaurant experiences. Gluten-Free substitutions barely needed and gracefully made. We did the wine and Agave spirits tasting. So much flavor in each bite. The staff was wonderful and the pace of the meal was perfect, 3 hours total.
My wife and I came for launch. The staff was very nice and warm. We decided to take one tasting menu and add several dishes, and were encouraged to to so. Everything was perfect- all the dishes were delisouse and complemented each other. Even the drinks we got were excellent.
Never being a big fan of South American food but don’t mind to give it a try once in a while. We sat at the bar and it quickly filled up by 6:30pm in Friday night. How’s the food? I will give it like 4.5 as the missing .5 star is because I am not so into Mexican food but I do think they do a good jo
Excellent food. Menu is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Definitely fine dining. Staffs are professional, friendly and well knowledgeable. I was personally impressed by the visit from Chef Rick Bayless, what an opportunity!
It was a fantastic experience, and the plates were artsy and delicious.
We tried Topolobampo’s Topolo At Home menu and frankly were blown away by it. To begin with, the “production value” was very high. A lot of care went into packaging very ingredient, and the provided instructions were clear and practical. They also included a link to a video with playing instructions
