Warning for your Car Valet by White Star Parking Services trying to say you parked longer than 3 hours! The Valet "owner" as he called himself clocked us in a half hour before we even arrived! I would have goven Lawrys 5 stars in not for the negative experience we had with their Valet vendor. Lawrys Food was to die for! Every thing inside the building was exceptional! Get your reservations asap before they close 12/31/2020.

Beautiful old mansion transformed into a great place for a nice dinner. Personally I thought the prime rib was a little dry. The french onion soup was amazing. Highly recommend. The price of a shrimp cocktail was exorbitant considering how they appeared to be thrown onto a plate. Size also was a let down. The filet was melt in your mouth, perfectly juicy. Less to no salt would be my recommendation. The lobster was prepared correctly, although it lacked in size. They do pay attention to detail, even in such a busy super club. I placed a piece of silverware on the floor only to have it promptly pucked up. I never saw them take it which was impressive. Lawrys is not a very romantic or quite place to go if thats what you prefer. In my neverending quest and infatuation with steak i would rate it a 7 of 10.

Good place for prime rib, but I've had better prime rib and other restaurants. Sides are expensive, not really able to share some of them like family style like at other steakhouse type restaurants. Other food items are just okay. Good place to try at least once, I probably would not go again.

Delicious prime rib. Chef slices right at table. Use spices on table to season yourself. Highly recommend Corn and spinach sides. Staff amazing. Plan for $120 per couple, $150 with drinks Only had 1 single private bathroom, very weird. Incredible woodwork and atmosphere.

It's a staple in chicago. We eat here almost every year during a tradeshow we attend. Have been coming here for about 10 years. Service is generally good. Menu is starting to change a bit which might be a good thing, but I'm sure most people come here for the prime rib. Obviously the prime rib is delicious. Of the sides, the spinning salad and cream corn are great. Would recommend if you're looking for a goos prime rib.

upscale traditional steakhouse with consistentency in food, service, and atmosphere. To me, the lobster tail is the highlight of the meal. Really fresh and beautifully cooked and seasoned. I'd recommend everyone to get it. The ribs were cooked medium-rare, really tender and flavorful. The salad and dessert were fine but lack of character. Last, the decor, it's one of the traditional luxury decor you don't often find in Chicago.

It's all about the presentation and experience and this place make sure both happen. All I can say is get the prime rib. There is no need to order anything else. It come with a salad and side, so the chances of leaving hungry is minimal.

Not your typical steak house. I can see the difference between Lawry’s and the Morton’s, Chicago Cut, etc. They got spacious area and the interior design was elegant and gorgeous. The Spinning Bowel Salad is the phenomenal that I would love to have it everyday if I am on a diet. The Lawry’s cut comes with big portion that I was not able to finish. Their herb pepper gives a special touch to it. I also enjoyed the crab cake and shrimp cocktail.

My sister and I wanted to try this place out ago but never got the chance. We were finally able to come back with our parents for a nice family dinner. It's pleasantly surprising to find such a place in Chicago. Usually, when you go to a steak house, you'll get your entree and ask "Where's the rest of it?", especially for the pricing. I can definitely assure you that the portion sizes here are well worth it. The food is great, but the service could be better. They're not the fastest bunch of people, but it is what it is. Also, the staff uniform is very demeaning in my honest opinion. It gives an atmosphere of servitude, which I'm not into, in one way or another.

Best Prime Rib ever! Come prepared with an empty stomach and a full wallet. This place is not cheap in the full sense of the word, but you cannot expect to get the best prime rib without paying a pretty penny. First let me tell you that we had the most chipper and friendly waitress that we could have hoped for. I was worried that with the fancy entrance, coat check, maître de and luxurious decor, we had gone into a place were pretentious people take other pretentious people to turn the nose up at others. I was wrong thankfully and our waitress, Ms. Jackson, immediately put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. The food was just as good as expected. I ordered the "California cut" of the prime rib dinner menu and got it exactly as requested (medium rare). Hubby ordered the "Lawry's cut", which he ordered rare and the thing had bone in and a glorious redness to it that was almost mooing of how fresh it looked. They actually bring a cart and cut the meat right in front of you. The prime rib dinners come with a house salad which was spun and tossed right at the table by our expert waitress. In addition to the salad, the man that served the prime rib also gave us mashed potatoes and gravy (the freshly made from prime rib drippings kind). A little while later, our waitress brought us Yorkshire pudding, which was also freshly made, puffy and soft. It was so much food that I looked at my hubby with incredulity when he suggested we order dessert. I ended up giving in and ordered crème brûlé. Everything was delicious, the service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was great in spite of the fancy surroundings. It was truly a great experience.
