Review Jake Melnick's Corner Tap - Chicago

Lunch before shopping and had a hard time selecting as everything sounded great! Had the lunch pulled pork and upgraded side to the Mac n cheese. Great! Local tap beer expensive ($10) but affordable lunch evened the score. Great service too. Highly recommend. Solo girl having lunch at the bar. Very comfortable atmosphere!

It's one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago! Amazing food and service, the wings alone are worth a visit! Great selection of flavors and recommended the Korean bbq. The Detroit style pizza starter is really good and well worth the cost, it can easily be split among 4-5 people, as well as the onion rings. Also, try to save room for dessert here!

Awesome place to hangout. We came here for a happy hour and wing challenge among our colleagues. The ambience is great and the best tasting wings I’ve ever had. The xxxx wings are absolutely fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥, a bit of warning. Several of us have literally cried. And the effect lasted several hours after. If you try the spiciest 🥵 , they do offer ice cream and milk at the end. Thank god !! 😄

I think my friend overly hyped their wings, so I had high expectations going in. They were fine, wasn’t a bad experience at all. But just decent wings. Great waitress.

They claimed award winning wings so we stopped in to try and they were excellent! We started with street corn elote dip and it was excellent! For the wings, we tried two flavors of the traditional bone-in. Original buffalo and firecracker (Sweet Thai chili & Sriracha), with firecracker being my favorite. My wife had the boneless wings in their Whiskey BBQ flavor-also very good. Service was great and the restaurant/bar had a welcoming, cozy vibe. We will be back to try the other flavors!

The wings here are the best I've ever had. The Wings of the Month are Hong Kong Sticky Wings with soy sauce and crunchy chili bits. Delish! I also had the Fried Pickles that were cooked to golden crunchy perfection and served with a Chipotle Ranch dressing. Yum. But my favorite was the Buffalo Califlower, lightly breaded, fried, and slathered with Buffalo Sauce. I'm not kidding when I tell you that I preferred it to Buffalo Shrimp. The serving was larger, and it tasted out of this world. If you ever find yourself in the neighborhood, stop in and ask for Laura - the best and funniest server ever. I promise you, if you're friendly and good to her, she'll make your night.

Aside from the young children who filled the role of greeter/host/hostess, they gave zero F's about customer service and were border line rude about the tables being booked.... never occurred to them to even offer to put my party on the list to wait for a table.... Aside from that, the food "wings" were great, which was what I was hoping for. The place was great for watching an NFL game even on Thursday. The bartender was friendly and quick to assist.

A cool vibe with good food. Staff are laid back and just on top of things. I like the food here, they're known for their wings, which inagree are great. For those of us who aren't fully into the after-hours dive bar scene, Jake Melnick's is perfect. Plus the food is great. It's definitely a place where you could be known, watch games, and enjoy good food and people.

While there are not a ton of good options for BBQ food in Chicago, Jake Melnick's is one of the best places to go for this type of cuisine. We stumbled on this place due to the ridiculously long waits at Giordano's across the street, and I am so glad we tried it here. Jake's is a great casual spot right off of Michigan Avenue to get some great BBQ food and watch the games.

Nice place to pop into and have a quick bite. I ordered the flavor of the month for the wings and it was ok. But. They were out of coors and Miller on tap so I got another Pilsner that wasn’t too terrible.

Lived up to the hype! The Buffalo wings were great and the cheese curds were some of the best I’ve had. Even the fries were top tier. Didn’t love the Nashville hot flavor as much though but I’ll definitely be back to try more flavors.

I. Love. This. Place. My first experience of full on American lean into it eating, and it didn’t disappoint. The wings are delicious (I got classic buffalo, of course, but the truffle wings I also tried and they’re amazing). The pretzel is HUGE and comes with the most amazing mustard, couldn’t stop eating it. I also got a thing of shredded pork. And the secret favourite item on the menu? Fried pickles - mind-blowingly good. Realistically, we over ordered here - two dishes per person is ridiculous. Get one and chill out. I very nearly deducted a star because the service was impossibly slow, but if I return to Chicago (likely) I’ll want to return so it’s not fair to take it off - the staff are super friendly.

Great service. Wings were very good. Santa smashed burger was excellent. Good beer selection on draft.

Nice place to get a good bite to eat. Convenient location with plenty of seating. Quick service and friendly staff. Plenty of screens to watch whatever game you want. Worth a visit while in the area.

Drummies on a Monday? Yes please. I’ve been craving Wings for a few weeks now so to say this hit the spot is an understatement. After reviewing a massage a few blocks away, we had lunch here and ordered 8 of the following - Buffalo - Mild, the Firecracker, BBQ and Nashville Hot. Of these drumettes, I probably put down 10 or so. The highlights were the Buffalo, Firecracker and Nashville Hot! The BBQ was ok as it nothing special. The size of these wings and the flavor jump out at you! We also ordered some fries - bonus for fresh cut style!! I loved my whole meal today that I am already wondering when we’d go back! Regardless these moved up to my favorite wings in the city! Paid parking is available but you may have to drive around a bit to find it. Well don’t JM’s!!

Jake Melnick's is a great place for barbecue and sports. They serve huge wings, the best loaded bbq tots, and have a large draft selection. They also have outdoor seating.
