Was looking for an organic restaurant for dinner and came across the Farmhouse. To our surprise it was phenomenal! We had the roasted chicken and grass fed burger. The roasted chicken was cooked to perfection! The burger was very tasty as well. The food is very fresh and I would expect that since this is a locally sourced restaurant. The portions were huge so you will not go hungry! The apple crisp dessert is just like heaven on a plate! The atmosphere is very nice and cozy and the staff was very great! We will definitely be returning here!
Great breakfast! Started with coffee and cinnamon apple monkey bread with honey caramel sauce. Delicious! My breakfast buddy and I both had the Farmer’s Breakfast...scrambled eggs with scallions, mushrooms and cheddar cheese (so good), spicy breakfast potatoes (great flavor), sausage links (very good) and English muffin served with sweet butter that was a nice surprise. Great service to boot. I would definitely revisit this place.

Delicious, fresh food. We had the monkey bread appetizer, open faced breakfast sandwich, farmer’s breakfast and eggs Benedict. Fresh squeezed orange juice was awesome too.
Everything we had was outstanding. We had the pretzel appetizer, the Farmhouse burger, the pork chop entree, and the blondie sundae dessert. I have no complaints. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We had reservations and we were sat immediately upon arrival. Definitely recommend.

A wonderful evening! Enjoyed gourmet Wisconsin cheese curds (yes, they exist), a delicious duck confit, craft cider as smooth as wine, and the creamiest, lightest cheesecake ... yum! Artsy-rustic decor and hip vibe. Very reasonable prices. Will return!
The Best Damn Chicken In The Land....hands down best I have ever had. Amazing service and the desserts were to die for. I make it a point to stop every time I am in Chicago
Enjoyed the atmosphere, the wait staff, and the food! Great meal, excellent server, and great drinks! Thanks for a fabulous Friday at Farmhouse!

We stumbled upon Farmhouse Chicago a couple of months ago and haven't stopped making it a weekly "go to" yet! For us finding a restaurant that supports our beloved Green City Market, locally grown and sourced food (often from their own farm!!), and has a menu with delicious vegetarian items is golden. We love the Farmhouse story, their service, but even more importantly everything we've tried. Be back soon!!
Many glasses of wine, duck schnitzel is amazing. So delicious and fresh, great place.
I 100% recommend hosting your special event at Farmhouse! My husband and I recently held our wedding rehearsal dinner for 35 people in the private upstairs space. Everything was excellent from the delicious food, large drink menu, and most importantly - amazing service! The bartender and servers were extremely personable and attentive. We had a great time, and our guests did, too! Additionally, Amanda, the event coordinator, was extremely responsive and organized and took the stress out of planning. I look forward to our next visit to Chicago and to Farmhouse!
Great menu, great staff, and the atmosphere is amazing! Wide selection of beers 🍻 That would fulfill anyone's taste buds! 💯🙂
Very attentive and friendly service and delicious and unusual offerings. The Sea Anemone cocktail was great, and oh my word, the molasses ice cream! I will be back.
Our waiter was very helpful and pleasant. Bloody Marys were yummy! I had the potted trout and salad-both delish. My son had the french toast which was amazing. We definitely be going back!
I had the short ribs which I would rate as a 3 for portion but a 4 for taste. Others in my party had the lamb, pork chop, chicken, or veggie burger. All loved their food and raved over the portion they received. I felt in comparison to the other entrees, the short ribs entree was not worth the price. But, all the food I sampled was tasty including the mac and cheese. I would visit this restaurant again.
A very cozy little spot for some fresh “farm to table” food. The spring pea mash in the braised short ribs is absolutely amazing: it adds the perfect light freshness to a relatively heavier dish. The fried cheese curds is a must-try as well.
We had a free continental breakfast at our hotel and decided to skip and go here. We are so glad we did! Biscuits and gravy was great to start, and then the open face sandwich, farmers breakfast and a side of macaroni cheese. Everything tasted so good and fresh! Being my father is a farmer, and I own a small business, I love supporting a restaurant that features farm to table. If you're considering stopping here, do it!! Oh and the honey butter was amazing too! We will definitely be back to try dinner next time.
Food and ambiance were excellent. They had a small menu, but because everything sounded so delicious it was surprisingly hard to choose. As a devout carnivore it feels weird for me to suggest the veggie burger, but it's honestly that good! (Just make sure you ask the waiter to toss some bacon onto it). It's a nice and cozy spot to take a date.
Actually I have! This is one of the best restaurants in Chicago! Cheese curds and all! Come here for the atmosphere, amazing fresh food, and amazing service. There's nothing not to like about this place! Walkable from downtown, great service and great vibe.
Liked my roast chicken and french onion soup. My friends enjoyed her burger and fried chicken on Mondays. Eclectic decor and good service. Will return.
Great food, nice atmosphere, looked like they had a decent selection of beer on tap. I got the cheese curds and the crispy buffalo chicken sandwich. The cheese curds were tasty, although a little puffier/less dense than others I've had. The sauce to go with it had a good spice to it. The samsaric was delicious, and the chicken had a really nice crisp to it. I was able to get it with Brussels sprouts instead of chips, which was a really nice healthy alternative instead of a salad. Pricey for regular lunch, but I would happily eat here again.
The food is mostly sourced from farms in the area and the feel of the restaurant matches. The eat local concept done very well here. They are brilliant with meat flavors, vegetable pairings and cookery of the meat for tender, juicy cuts. A great spot for a hearty meal.
Service is excellent. Lovely farmhouse modern decore. A quaint place, conveniently located next to the CTA. The food was delicious. Portion sizes are on point. Great presentation. Fun cocktail names (for example PS Chicago is still burning). Dessert is a must, perfect after dinner sweet.
Great food in a very welcoming environment. Best Eggs Benedict I've had in a while and I'd highly recommend the cheese curds.
This place is perfect for groups, with big tables and several games available in the patio. The beer selection is good. No table service.
Great atmosphere created by the end-to-end detail one would expect from a Michellin rated restaurant. The Craft House side of things is well represented with a selection of Chicago's local brews.
I've been to Farmhouse two times and each time I was pretty impressed with my meal. First for weekend brunch about a year ago and he socks a few weeks ago had huge chicken salad. 😊Salads might be kinda pricey but all else seemed fair. Check out my insta for more food posts @T_lovesfood.
Good ambience space to grab a quick lunch! They have a small menu which it makes easy to pick. Make sure you try cheese curd.
Delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and the orange juice was great! Farmers breakfast was great and the French toast was big . Definitely a great hearty brunch.
Pork chop with sweet potato and brussel sprouts. One of the best things I've ever eaten. Pork chop had a nice smoky flavor, the sauce on the brussel sprouts was spectacular and the sweet potatoes were maple syrup and butter heaven.
Really delicious Farmhouse Benedict and Donuts. Not everyone gets Eggs Benedict cooked properly, but they did. Smoked ham was a great add. Spicy potatoes added some nice kick. Quick service on a Sunday morning! Would definitely recommend. Ample “meter” parking in the immediate area was a bonus.
I want to love this place and I do keep coming back. It’s expensive and sometimes inconsistent. Service can he harried and inattentive, but the concept is so brilliant and the food is fresh and usually delicious. And they have Guinness on tap which is impossible not to love!
