The atmosphere was definitely surprising, but unlike any place I’ve been. The staff was great and explained everything on the menu. The drinks were fantastic, so happy we stumbled upon this place
Little pricey but well worth it omg best drinks ever great mixture of ppl. In music awesome but very packed lol. But best place ever i miss chicago so bad what a beautiful city
This outing was an anniversary date night. The drinks don't disappoint. We ordered the Rum Barrel, delicious. The food comes on small sharable plates and the food is great.
Service here is really quick and the atmosphere is very intimate.

Excellent atmosphere. Dimly lit, good music and a cool mix of contemporary and traditional tiki and island style interior. Table service is usually prompt and attentive. Bar service is good but beware it can get busy and a little waiting may be necessary. Lots of out of town visitors stopping in to see what it’s all about. Food is great. Drinks are pricey but quite accurate, consistent and usually worth it if you’ve got the coin! Good times. 🍹🌴😎
Had such a lovely time here. We only popped in for one cocktail but the experience couldn't have been better. The door staff were so polite, the lady on the front desk was kind, and the bar staff were super friendly and helpful. Prices are a little high but the product is quality. The cocktails we had were outstanding. Will definitely go back next time we're in Chicago.
This place is amazing!!!! Drinks, food, atmosphere, everything... Highly recommend! We loved everything, but our favorite was Jet Pilot so far. Planning on going back asap!
We celebrated our honeymoon in Hawaii this past April and we agreed that these cocktails are better than the drinks we had there!

Came here for a work event. The vibe was awesome. Coming in had a very fun, unique, and creative experience and set the mood very well. The drinks were amazing and had beautiful tiki drink ware they were served in. Each drink had a unique name, cup, and list of ingredients. They were also delicious.
The food was all appetizers for this event but the staff was always walking around with things to try so there was never a shortage. Highly recommend.
A standout bar experience in Chicago—definitely a speakeasy look and feel. This tiki-themed bar impressed us form right behind the door of its vibrant decor with a soothing aroma along the way, to the well-illustrated menu, giving a clear idea of what to expect from each drink. The presentation matched the pictures exactly! $16-$18 for each, totally worth it.
The staff was attentive. We walked in on a monday night with no reservation and she made us a comfortable booth, just checking in a bit too frequently. She also accommodated my request for a drink without ice, which was appreciated. Highly recommend for anybody who enjoys cool drinks and a fantastic Hawaiian ambience.
A checklist location for Tiki and cocktail enthusiasts which lived up to the hype. Make reservations for sure. We walked in around 8:45 on a Friday night and did manage to get two seats at the bar after a few minutes but having the peace of mind to know you'll be able to sit would be nice.
HOWEVER this means you'll likely miss the show of watching the bartenders creating what were the absolute best Tiki drinks I have had to date of this review. Visited Grass Skirt in San Diego two years ago and the drinks were no better than I can make at home. My visit to Three Dots and a Dash is going to make me work harder on my own.
Noel was our bartender and he was excellent at his craft. Order a Saturn served up, It was the best Saturn I will ever have I'd wager.
By the time we left around 10:30 or so there was a line to get in at least 25+ deep, so again... RESERVATIONS. Even if you don't though, doubtful you will be disappointed.

Came back Sunday night before dinner and there’s a reason why it was so busy.. the bar is awesome and well deserving of all of the positive reviews.
Hidden with an alley entrance you enter the downstairs bar that has great service and even better cocktails. After having hit and miss experiences at other cocktail bars, every drink we had at Three Dots all tasted great and match the tiki environment.
Very reasonably priced for what you’re getting at ~$16 per cocktail.
I love this place. I’m not local but a friend of mine recommended it in one of my visit to Chicago and it didn’t disappoint. Now, I try to visit every time I’m on the city. I love their signature drinks and attention to detail. Last time I was there I ordered food as well and the chicken and steak skewers were AMAZING! Definitely you need to try them.
It gets crowded because it is very popular so, if you can make a reservation do it, otherwise you can try your luck to get a sit at the bar.
Fantastic place! It's fun something different. Great unique drinks. We had the crab Rangoon it was good. The drinks definitely take the show! I definitely can't wait to go back!
