I went to dinnner this last Saterday night at the Cherry Circle Room and had the best dining experience of my life. First of all, the service was impeccable! From start to finish flawless execution. From the gentleman who recommended the delicious red wine, to our server who helped guide us through the outstanding menu. Which brings me to the food- exceptional! It's a good sign that even the bread was memorable, but each appetizer and entree following was a tastebud dream. Some of my favorites were the cauliflower, the steak tar tar, the tender lamb I dipped in the buttery exquisite mashed potatoes, and who could forget those deserts! I will recommend the Cherry Circle Room to people who not only want a delicious meal, but who want a memorable dining experience. Thank you to the team behind my new favorite restaurant!
Love the service here! While the environment and decor is absolutely upscale, it is not pretentious. The drinks are of great quality and worth the price. The portions of food are small but filling as they are rich in flavor. I have taken my fiancé and best friend to this place and they enjoy it. My fiancé loves the music and always tries to SHAZAM or ask the waitress for the name of the artist. Something for two people be looking to spend $80-$140. The drawing room is next store. I'd recommend that space if you just want drinks and to kick back.
All hash browns are not created equally. The Cherry Circle Room in Chicago is part of the historic Chicago Athletic Association. The breakfasts, especially the hash browns, a heavenly experience reminiscent of giant tater tots. The restaurant's reinvention beautifully blends its iconic history with modern design says the James Beard Awards in 2016. This spot won Outstanding Restaurant Design. Highly recommended breakfast.

The place is located in a very nice building. The entrance is a bit discreet and hard to find. However, once you enter, the space is really nice and is a perfect date spot. The bartender was professional, polite and the cocktail was amazing. The service was very pleasant, the food came out fast and fast amazing. Order an appetizer and it was pretty yet delicious. Overall, highly recommend
Why did we wait so long to go here!? So happy my husband suggested it!!
The whole room is beautiful; dark wood and cozy vide. There is a gorgeous bar along one side of the restaurant.
It’s sort of hidden behind the game room area of the Athletic Club; almost like a secret, exclusive dining experience which adds to the ambiance.
The food is phenomenal. I had the fried chicken and side of creamy macaroni and cheese. Both outstanding. The mac & cheese is truly the best I’ve had in Chicago!
My husband had the Whole Fried Sea Bass and a side of fried Brussels Sprouts that he thoroughly enjoyed.
Out of towners who made this our super swanky meal of our trip. We came in with high expectations because of ratings and awards. My wife got the sea bass and me the filet mignon medium rare. I cook alot my own steak so I am a really tough judge. Anything above a 9 is great score from me. The filet got a 9.4. Cooked just right and not stringy/chewy. A 9.4 mostly because it was $70. I am not use to those prices back home! They surprised us with a complimentary birthday cake for me even though I didn't want anything showy.
Waiter was really good adjusting to our needs and answering questions. I told him I drink alcohol fast and to bring drinks out quicker then most ppl allow. Particularly, it was a holiday weekend and I wanted to feel good. He did not disappoint. I had 3 beers and a double of whiskey with the steak.
We spent $300 for two ppl includes tip.
Very unique atmosphere with good food and service.
When you walk into this restaurant you feel that you are walking into a movie. Very cool and intimate restaurant.
Cocktails are some of the best that I have had so far. The truffle pasta that we ordered was amazing but fish was just okay.
Service was amazing!
Highly recommend it if you’re in Chicago.
A hidden gem in the middle of the most touristy part of the city! Hidden within the Chicago Athletic Association, The Cherry Circle Room has an updated old-world elegance to it, with deep, cushy, leather booths and a beautifully adorned bar with a mix of interspersed oddities to keep the eye busy while enjoying the food and catching up with company. The brunch fare was excellent, and their hash browns, while probably not what you're expecting, were the perfect addition. The service was also superb. Will absolutely be back.
Wow, this restaurant was phenomenal. Truly enjoyed the brunch, everything was made with such care and precision. Also a really beautiful environment.
Pasta was great, sea bass fry and cocktails were so so. Spent 160 on two cocktails (18 each), one pasta entree and one whole sea bass fry with fried rice entree. They did not give us any tables because we had no reservation but there were many empty tables. We sat at the bar and ate our food. It's a bummer. Not worth spending this much. You can go just for the ambiance but definitely need to reserve first. If you are going for pictures, not your place.
Just was there last night celebrating our anniversary. Our waiter was the sweetest, the food was amazing (healthy Midwestern portions lol!!) And the drinks were phenomenal. Loved the cozy quiet atmosphere. We had an amazing time.
An interesting if overpriced restaurants in the Chicago Athletic Club.
Cocktails are high quality and also high prices. Their ribeye steak is $109, tastes good and it’s too expensive.
The place looks great. Last time I was there there I was a bit disappointed by the whole thing. The first time, about a year ago I had a great time… but maybe it is me
