Chicho's Pizza

Love the pizza; however, was treated to a rude weekend this past weekend. Asked if the very loud rap music being played in the kitchen could be turned down yelled from the kitchen was "get headphones ". Bartender yesterday taking shots with the customers. It got us a free round of fireball, but not a good look.

I have been a fan of Chicho's for a couple of years, but last Monday was a huge disappointment and I doubt I will return... I go to Chicho's often and I know how the pizza is suppose to look and taste. I ordered three slices of pizza and this is what they gave me... I paid $9.20 for that..........I have never recieved such poor quality pizza and size from you all. He didn't even put the paper plates in the to-go box like usual. I took it back inside and the guy that made me the pizza the first time made me more and the quality was still poor, didn't taste like the normal Chicho's pizza and the pizza slice were still not the normal size. I ended up throwing it away.

I'm happy to report since my last review here back in 2015 that this Cho's has turned it around. I have both dined in and had excellent meals and service and even more often get delivery from this Chicho's location. Basically my brother and I are long time Chicho's fans of the spicy sauced pie from back in the day when the original location was on Atlantic Ave at the oceanfront. When he comes to town he wants local pizza, and so this has turned into one of our local go to locations. In addition, if you like pizza you should have an app on your smart phone called 'SLICE'. I use this app frequently with this Cho's as there's always a deal, and in my experience they deliver usually about 15 minutes faster than the delivery time allocated on the app. As far as delivery goes I've only had one mistake, they brought the wrong pizza and the driver was out of the driveway before we could catch him. I called the restaurant and they acknowledged the mistake and brought me the correct pizza within the hour and we got to keep the wrong pizza as well. So great customer service there to.

Took advantage of their pizza and garlic knots special on Groupon. Went around 8pm on a Sunday night and were the only patrons in the main dining room. Most customers were seated near the bar. They were just beginning Karaoke before we left. Pizza was good, just slightly overcooked, garlic knots were ok, but seemed to be very light on the garlic and butter. Good if you don't like overly buttery and garlic knots. Came with marinara sauce. Beer selection was very limited, they had sold out on most of their craft beer the night before. Service was friendly and attentive.
