Zip's Drive In

Tried the sausage egg breakfast sandwich for the first time. I omit the cheese because we just don't get along. For the money, it was not to bad. The sausage paty was almost the size of the bun and it was flavorful and juicy. The egg was real and cooked to perfection. The only thing that would have made it exceptional would have been if the bun bun was lightly buttered and toasted. Other than that, not a bad quick bite for less than $5!

This location constantly takes way to long for a drive thru order. They never give you a total when you order, and most of the time they mess something up. Tonight we waited 20 minutes to order then another 20 minutes to get to the window to pay. When they gave the total it sounded low. We double checked with then guy at the window and he said both meals were on there only for him to come back saying they missed one. So now after 45 minutes we have to pull forward and wait for the other half of the order. They blamed having a busy lobby for these issues yet the parking lot was nearly empty. I worked in kitchens for years and if that volume was too much then every person working there should find another job.

Zips in Cheney is slacking lately. I had a moldy tatter tot, my chicken sandwich was cold in the middle, and they put cheese on my husband's papajoe when he asked for no cheese. I get music is fun at work but not when you can't do your job correctly or hear the customer. Plus, had to pay for another sandwich. The unsweetened tea was just water and the sweet tea still tasted like water but had a lot of particles in it. Really grossed out with the food and drink we got 🤢

My grandson and I were going to Cheney high school graduation and we stopped in for a cheeseburger and fries. After waiting a half hour, I asked when our order would be ready, and all she could say was they were busy. I almost laughed! Yes, they were busy, but all we wanted was our order so we could go to the graduation on time. We waited another 5 minutes and then we walked out. I lost a few dollars on that, but I gained wisdom.....never go to Cheney's Zips drive-in.
