Uptown Coney Island

My family has been to the Chelsea location off and on for over 18 years, and we have yet to be disappointed in the food or the service. Now that the kids are grown and independent, we are able to enjoy the full extent of their menu. We frequently get their baklava as our dessert, when they have it. And it's Delicious! Today my wife had the Tuna salad and I had the Chicken Club sandwich. As usual, we were not disappointed. Our waitress, Deb, was tremendous in allowing us to have just the right amount of privacy while tending to our needs. And the coffee served here is by far better than your average Coney. We'll be back!

Cute little cafe small town vibe with fiesta plates on the wall. I had the Coney combo. Unless it’s comfort food for you, I will save you the meh. It was a hot dog on a bun with canned chili. The fries were good and the service was amazing. They for sure believe on COVID-19 COMPLIANCE. Would I come back? Maybe one more time to try something else. Again the service was great. But the food was not something to write home about. It appears they hand make baklava, if I was local I would come back for that!

Given this joint multiple chances over the last decade and have never been particularly impressed but with the lack of local diners you take what you can get sometimes. In the last year I've eaten here twice and on both occasions I was extremely disappointed. My most recent visit for breakfast yesterday was the final straw, I'm done with this place. Got only one refill on my coffee the entire time and our waitress was either absent or chatting with other tables that had customers she obviously knew. We both felt like we were being ignored. My eggs were slimy and very undercooked. To sour the deal further, it was nearly $40 for two breakfasts and coffee! When I paid at the register, the guy asked how my food was and I said not very good, to which he did not even respond and just blankly stated my total. Leaving me again to feel unimportant and ignored. Never again. Go somewhere else. 2 stars instead of 1 because although the food and service isn't great at least the place is clean. Not the worst place I've been to but some of the weakest breakfasts I've had for sure.

Food tastes good. Drive thru experience was a disaster. Three people came to the window not knowing what was what, if we paid, what order was ours, and seemed quite disorganized. One woman opened the window and yelled as if we were miles away, startling both of us. No parking was available so we had to do the drive thru. Onions tasted extremely strong, like maybe old already.
