Spiffy's Restaurant & Bakery

I have been going here for many years and always pleased with the service. But, after last nights dinner I will not be going back. The chicken fried steak was rubbery and didn't taste good at all. The side salad had brown spots on it. It was lettuce and some cheese on top I was surprised it was $6.99 Just expect high prices with low quality food.

On route to the coast, we stopped in for the first time. I immediately felt it to be a family friendly place. Service was good and the food excellent. They bake their own breads. Even the salad dressing was extra tasty. Deserts are out of this world. We got some for the road! Check out the gift shop and books too.

I always appreciate a good decent place to sit down and enjoy a meal with my sweetie. So it was a delight to be able to stop in for a lunch on our way home from vacation. I was initially hesitant, due to a couple of bad reviews. But when I saw the reviewers obviously had a political agenda, I said- "Let's give it a go, honey". Very nice, clean and welcoming. My Reuben was great and the salad I opted for was fresh and crisp with mixed greens, cukes and cherry tomatoes. For just $12. Fair enough. So...ignore the nay sayers. They obviously haven't been here.
