My husband has been bragging Bout this for over 15 years now., the last time he visited was 20 years ago and never forgot the taste the texture the color of their falafel. Sure does. He is not lying. The same owners, the same recipe..unfortunately I do not have good picture to share to justify it.highly recommended.

I had Ankar's almost 20 yrs ago. I've moved but I make sure to hit this place. The food is always fresh hot and delicious. The onion rings are marvelous. Service is perfect. They are always busy but they could show "Ronald" how to still serve you quickly. To me and my family they will always be my first stop.

Ordered online, which was very easy. Arrived a couple minutes later than app (not run by Ankar's, I don't think) said food would be ready. I think the restaurant must have been busy because mine wasn't quite ready to go. I have loved the rueben rider, half done pickle, and onion rings here since childhood. I moved to Illinois 12 years ago and don't get back often. I was excited to be able to order my favorites and have the same taste experience I have remembered since childhood. Delicious food!

Been eating at Ankar's since I was a kid. First time I tried a steak in a sack I was hooked. Best onion rings on the planet, IMO. Moved away from the Chattanooga area in 2010, but make it a point to stop at Ankar's any time I'm back in the area. Great establishment, great food, and most of all a great family.

Love me some Ankars!!! I am a gig economy worker (grocery delivery) so I am constantly on the go, driving around town. It’s so convenient there are multiple locations of this restaurant in Chattanooga so I can always grab a quick, cheap but high quality lunch to keep me full while I’m on the go! It’s amazing I spend maybe $6.50 max and get a good portion size of food. Their Chicken Parmesan Rider is incredible and has been my jam lately (although normally I substitute grilled chicken for fried because I’m trying to be healthy… somewhat. 😂🤣) Keep up the good work Ankars!

We arrived at 5 minutes till 8:00, on an evening they close at 9:00. We were informed that the grill was shut done and we could not order a hamburger steak. If you are open, then all items should be available…not a hour before closing. We were told that the owner was ok with this procedure. Disappointed in management…not our normal experience at Ankars.

By far the worst experience with Ankars to date. We ordered two steak in sacks, two French fries, onion rings, potato soup, and key lime pie and the only items even fit to eat were the French fries and the key lime pie. The steak in a sacks were so tough that you couldn’t even bite into them and tasted horrible. The potato soup needs to be renamed to no potato soup because there wasn’t a single potato in the potato soup. It will be a long time before I order from the Brainerd Rd. Ankars again. Next time I’ll make the trip to the Highway 58 one, because their food is always fresh. $72 wasted, thanks Ankars!
