The Salad Maker

Was walking down to the downtown Mall to pick up lunch, so the banner for Salad Maker. Because we were planning a luncheon at work, we contacted the Manager , Allison. Told her what we needed . . . she suggested just what we should get to serve about 30 people. Told her what time as well. The staff was very friendly, we arrived the order was packed and ready to go . . . and our staff said the salad was delicious. We will definitely be ordering from them again!!!!

We stumbled upon this little place on a warm day and it was a perfect place for lunch. You walk in and have a choice of selecting a pre-existing salad or a sheet where you can create your own salad. There are name tags for the former, and order slips for the latter, that you bring to the counter. And in a few minutes you have your salad, along with a variety of drink options. I got the Palmyra, a vegan salad, with (among other things) tofu, quinoa, and a lovely vinaigrette on a great bed of greens. But there are salads of all kinds, so you will find something you are excited about. Glad to find this place, would love to eat here again.

I enjoy that this establishment offers downtown cville an alternative to burgers and such for lunch. KEEP IN MIND I USED TO COME HERE FREQUENT. However, there is laxk or consistency in all areas- Food quality, customer service, portions and PRICING. THE prices are marked differently on the website menu, outside menu and the inside menu. The short heavy set (woman/man) with a short mohawk was RIDICULOUSLY RUDE. When ordering she got snappy when her to repeat what she said due to the noise level. Upon paying, I purchased one Southwester salad and my total was close to $13. I am a frequent customer and 2. the price on the website, outdoor menu AND indoor menue were all inconsistent- they WENT OFF saying “thats the price for the salad. Take it or leave it.” I will never go this establishment again.
