Decent food at reasonable prices. Wait staff were very helpful. Seems like a lot of regulars / repeat customers. My reuben sandwich was good. Chocolate shake was not as thick as I like.

I love Sam’s Kitchen. Food always decent; hospitality by the entire staff is always wonderful. The customers are diverse. I will continue to patronize. However, the last time I was there I felt I was slapped in the face—by a very obvious political statement on a server’s clothing. It was not what I wanted to be reading constantly as I ate. I hope the management of Sam’s will continue to support and welcome the diversity of their customers. Politics by an employee should not be forced on paying customers. The clothing should not have been worn during working time. We all have our right to our opinions on our own time.

I’ve been going here for years it’s always been great. Well I took a client to lunch there last week and after waiting about an hour for our food it finally showed up. Part of our order was missing . No biggie but after waiting an additional 25-30 min for our missing food we were out of time and needed to get back to work. We asked that our bill be adjusted for the missing food and all hell broke loose. Our waitress went into trailer trash mode yelling and cussing at us. Called my client a “b$&@“ and “ we were just trying to get out of paying our bill” She should have been fired on the spot. Adios Sams kitchen you can keep your pancakes and you’re deranged employees.

While in the middle of relocating to Virginia,Found this Gem in a local strip mall..Thank God! The service was quick the food was great and I made a special request for my veggie omlet.I'll just say..YUM!! The two ladies waiting on customers were as pleasant as could be,environment was peaceful.I will be going back in the near future to try Everything they offer. Please support these mom and pop eateries,so much nicer than corporate run places.

The breakfast food was mediocre. The meatloaf was dry and tasted awful. The gravy and mashed potatoes were nearly cold. The mac and cheese was stale (like it was cooked a few days ago. The prices are OUTRAGEOUS for what you get. 2 eggs and bacon should not be over 5 dollars.

While I was getting my oil changed I waited in line at IHOP across the street the day after Christmas while the staff ignored me and a lot of other people. THANKFULLY I REMEMBERED SAM'S KITCHEN!!! The staff is friendly attentive, especially Melinda, and and the food is great. My food arrived in 3 minutes and 49 seconds. No kidding! And the coffee in my mug never ran low.😊

I've been wanting to go to Sam's every since I moved to Charlottesville. I see it everyday from work. I've been told it's good. I finally got the chance to go. It did not disappoint. Our server was very attentive. She apologized several times for our wait, but honestly it was just about right for a sit-down restaurant. I don't think it was excessive at all. I've waited longer at Wendy's. The food was top notch. We ordered a Hoo's platter and a gyro. Both were excellent. The burger was cooked just right with plenty of toppings, and the gyro was full of meat. The prices were right, too. I'll definitely be going back. Thanks for a great lunch, Sam's. I'll see you again soon!

The building was very under par. It was dimly lit and kind of musty. Had an old smell to the place and honestly wasnt very clean. The service was good, one waitress and she worked her bum off. Like a little honeybee or something. The food was average, I think eating there would have been a better experience if the facility was more presentable.
