This was a really fun and spacious tap house. They have a good selection of beer and a good menu, complete with a variety of in house German sausage. The indoor area is very spacious and they have a lot of board games. The outdoor patio has a nice view, and has two bocce ball lanes if you’re into that sort of thing.

We had a great time here! The burger was absolutely delicious, and the beer was great too! They have a huge selection of beers - drafts, cans, and bottles. It was quite busy when we went, a Saturday late afternoon, but not too bad. Definitely check it out!

We have always loved Kardinal Hall and it was a natural choice for my son’s high school graduation! Great and plenty of food, fun things to do, a private room with AV and a wonderful event planner and staff. Affordable too for Charlottesville!

Great place for a nice pint and some good food. It’s not exactly cheap, but it’s definitely reasonable and you get what you pay for. Been coming here for a few years and the staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. Vibes all always great, too

I enjoyed my first visit to Kardinal Hall. The staff was scarce but friendly, good atmosphere. I ordered the burger with fries and it was delicious. I liked the set up at the outdoor counter, where you can pick up a glass bottle of water from the bucket and # of glasses needed for your table. I also like the open tab feature, order what you need, pay and close on your way out.
The one negative for me was the selection of drinks, it seemed limited.. I did order a glass of rose' it wasn't sweet, the flavor was a bit dry for my taste. I would visit again.

We rented out Kardinal Hall for our wedding and it was marvelous. The staff is so generous with their time and expertise. The food and cocktails are incredible. It's just the best.

good ambience but really loud; hard to talk with a group of friends inside. I had the steak salad which was way too sour for me. Fries were good. Next time, I might try eating outside.

We had an excellent experience at Kardinal Hall! Chrissy, the events coordinator was exceptionally helpful throughout the planning process and day-of the event. The Kardinal Hall team went above and beyond with their hospitality making adjustments to our event set up when the weather turned just before our event started! The catered food was amazing, we had countless compliments from our group. We made a few menu requests because of dietary restrictions for members of our group and they were all handled wonderfully! We look forward to planning another work event at Kardinal Hall soon!
