Vanloi Chinese Barbecue

This place is great. They're probably the most consistent with these type of dishes/protein dishes that they offer. I make an hour drive just to come here about 1x a month. I haven't anything from here that wasn't fresh and flavorful. There's probably only a couple of places in Charlotte that sells this type of food such as roast pork, steamed chicken, roast duck, and etc. People can complain and etc, but there's just not many options especially when it comes to trying to find steamed chicken. The service here is great though. And the people here are very nice. The only downsides to this place are the prices. I understand that everything has gone up due to inflation but the prices are pretty high, so expect to pay a pretty penny.

Man it’s in Central Ave, but the best food be in the HOOD you feel me. The duck i got from here was amazing. My mom and gf wanted the vit quay so i went and got it for them. The price is high, but it’s worth it. Took it home, and tell me why I had like 2 pieces and my mom and gf killed the whole thing. Mind you my girl don’t eat as much, but she ate it up that day. Yes, it’s pricey but the duck was SOOOO flavorful. Great investment. 💯 I would’ve gotten a photo, but didn’t get the chance to because it was gone before I could. 😂

Great place. Love how they chop up whole roast pigs. Delicious. They gave me the wrong size pig. I ordered 25lb and got a 50lb pig. Even though I told them I didn't think it was mine, they sent me off with it. They called later and asked me to pay for the 50lb, but when I said that's not right, the owner did not hesitate to agree and honored the original price. We felt bad but the owner definitely did not try to harass us. We are returning customers and consistently recommend to everyone, so they didn't lose much in this case.
