All Caribbean folks agree, this is the best place to get Caribbean food in Charlotte.
The food was very tasty, very well seasoned with the right portions of salt and spice.
I highly recommend the patties. I've had both chicken and beef and I highly recommend both.
They had ran out of fried plantains so I ordered collard greens. Let's just say it was my least favorite.
Overall 9.8/10. I will return
We stopped here for takeout on a recent trip to Charlotte, NC. The food was excellent with great customer service. I had the Oxtails with rice and peas, and Hubby had the Curry chicken with rice and peas. We will definitely return again and would certainly recommend. The portions are huge and the prices are good.
This is my second time eating from this place and my food was scrumptious! The meat was tender, seasoned and the rice was cooked just to perfection. I have eaten oxtails in NYC, Chicago, Atlanta and several other cities but this place is in my top 3! The price was just right and I ordered a small, I still had food left over to share with my sis! I will be back next time I visit!
Ever since I moved to the South from Buffalo New York, I have been looking high and low for some really good Jamaican food. I have found it! I ordered a small jerk chicken dinner with rice and peas and steamed cabbage. The presentation gave everything that it was supposed to give for me. My first bite took me right back home and I loved it! I will be back.
One of my Favorite Jamaican restaurants. The food always is good. My favorite dish is the Curry goat and I am almost always satisfied with the amount of food I'm given except for my last couple of visits. I was disappointed in spending almost $30 for a large oxtails only to get home to see there were only 4 pieces of meat and they weren't even full pieces. I completely demolished it as you can see by the picture, but look how few bones are there.
Feeds for an about two servings and the jerk chicken was well seasoned as was the collard greens. Would also recommend the brown stew chicken!
Food was delicious! As you can see because I almost finished my plate. I got the small jerk chicken which came with rice and peas and your choice of one side and I got cabbages. Was able to eat off plate for 2 days.
I mean WOW!!! I was really surprised and impressed with the food here! A lot of West Indian restaurants in Charlotte claim to be so but ARE NOT! The flavors here are spot on!!! I went in ordered then went to my car to taste and went right back in to order more!!! I ordered BBQ Jerk Chicken 10/10, Curry Chicken 10/10, Rice and Peas 10/10, Mac-N-Cheese 7.5/10, YAMSSSS 100/100, Cabbage 9/10!! THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!! I don't even live over there, I'm 30 minutes away!!
I’m new to Charlotte but this is the best jerk chicken I’ve had here yet. Well seasoned with a good amount of spice.
There are only to go orders but the food is well prices with large portions.
Definitely my go to spot now. Been here twice & they haven’t disappointed. I’m from NYC & I know good Carribean food. Oxtails are good. Portions are good. Mac is actually good which is rare for a carribean spot. My only advice is not to go near closing time, I just feel like the food is more fresh the earlier you go. But that’s with anywhere.
