I will say I am really not an ice cream person at all. Decided to try some while we were waiting for my son's guitar class to start. This is located in a shopping center so there are plenty of parking spaces to choose from. Unfortunately you can not enter the ice cream shop, you have to order from a window so if you go on a hot day, you will be melting. I decided to try the coffee flavor on a cone and OMG! This was the best ice cream I've had. Now I know what the hype is about with this place. The ice cream tasted so refreshing, and the coffee flavor was not overpowering like some other tastes. It had just the right amount of coffee flavor, and it did not leave super thirsty like other ice creams. It wasn't too expensive either, and they do have a good selection of flavors. I will definitely be returning, and if I ever get a craving for ice cream, Jeni's will be the spot.
I didn't realize this location existed until we passed by after dinner and were pleasantly surprised. I have visited another location and the experience wasn't as good as this location. The staff were all very nice and helpful. They are very patient with each customer letting you taste the different flavors and not feeling rushed. That might be different when its summer and busier.
The ice cream is good overall. The appeal is more of some of their unique flavors. I ordered a waffle cone (one of the best I've had) and the double dark chocolate. There were so many great options but for some reason I went with something not so unique. If was rich and creamy and well worth the trip.
I've been to a many ice cream places over the years I saw this place and gave it a chance and all I can say is WOW... the ice cream was absolutely delicious and the waffle cone was something to call you're mom and tell her about... definitely my new favorite place in Charlotte from here on out! try it out people!!!!
This is an absolutely amazing place to have an ice cream date with your loved ones, family, friends and kids. The ambience is perfect and the ice cream is to die for. My absolute recommendation is the brown butter almond brittle. It’s incomparable to any other ice cream flavor you’ll ever taste. This is a must try ice cream and they have many more unique and delicious flavors on the menu. They have specials season wise so make sure to try them as well.
this was my first time actually seeing a Jeni’s scoop shop in the wild! I was so excited and had to try it. the young man working was attentive and efficient, and the little shop was adorable. they only have outside seating. I got the salty caramel and was pleasantly surprised that there was actually (sea?) salt inside instead of most salted caramel ice creams that don’t even have a salt flavor.
Absolutely delicious! I love their original flavors. I never have anything that I hate here. And as an added bonus and delightful surprise, their spoons aren't plastic. They are completely recyclable and combustible. Very cool 👌

This was the cutest Jenis I've ever been to! Ice cream was delicious as always. A little weird operation wise to order and receive ice cream from one doorway. Slowed things down.
Ice cream was great and they got it to us quickly. Kaleigh had the cinnamon bun and I had the Trio with Darkest Chocolate, Banana Brandy Creme Brulee, and the Salted Peanut Butter. You could really taste the brandy in the banana scoop, and the peanut butter and chocolate were both incredible. Kaleigh tried my chocolate and said that it was the best chocolate ice cream she'd ever had. Hate to give them a 4 star review when it was almost 100 degrees outside that day, but the kid who waited on us would have been happier somewhere else that day. He wasn't a jerk or anything, just aloof.
Good ice cream if you can find a flavor you would like. They had some odd flavors. I am pretty simple when it comes to ice cream and they did not have plain vanilla chocolate or strawberry.
I've loved Jeni's since I was at Ohio State. I was so excited when they came to Charlotte and now they have three locations!
I'm typically at the South End location, so this was my first time at this location outside of the Yelp event when they first opened.
The ice cream is amazing as always. This was the first time I got three seasonal flavors instead of my usual favorites. I got sweet potato with marshmallow, boozy eggnog, and fluffernutter. All three are amazing.
I always get a trio and always in a waffle cone. They always try to convince me to get a bowl instead, but then you get less waffle and the waffle cone is to die for.
The one thing about this location that's not ideal is how small it is. This isn't a big deal when it's nice out, but now that it's kind of cold, if you don't want to eat outside you have to awkwardly eat in the corner by the bathroom.
If you're one of the few people in Charlotte who hasn't tried Jeni's, you should fix that ASAP.
