Located in a strip mall and I was skeptical, but the quality of sushi was amazing! Dumpling soup was excellent too. Nigiri was amazing, and 5 seasons roll was my favorite if you like fresh fish and some spice.
Stopped here for brunch before heading out. Was really good. Sushi, and the hibachi steak/chicken was portioned well for the lunch plate. Crab Rangoon was 🔥
First time coming here and we really enjoyed the food and great service. Good variety of sushi on the menu as well. If we’re ever in the area, we’ll definitely come back.
I’ve had sushi all over the world as I travel for work but my most favorite spicy tuna will forever be at blue orchid. The food is amazing but what makes this restaurant so special is the people working there. From the owners to the server and cooks, blue orchids customer service is unmatched. They remember all the regulars by name. Such a delight!
The staff here offered a warm welcome as soon as I came in through the door. Everyone had an authentic smile & seemed to love what they were doing. The flavors & quality of the food was amazing. I'll look forward to trying more items off the menu in the future!
This place always has the best Sushi or other options if you aren't in the mood for sushi. The food and service has always been 5 stars every time my wife and I have been here. Highly recommend you give this restaurant a try.
Just pulled out of the parking lot and felt compelled to write a review!
This place is AMAZING. We ordered the lunch special two rolls for $9, (salmon and avocado and crunch Cali) the caterpillar roll and crimson roll.
This is by far the freshest sushi I’ve had, I mean look at those nice pieces of salmon and tuna in those rolls! The rolls were big also, definitely not skimpy like I’ve had at other places.
Our waiter was fantastic, a very nice gentlemen and super attentive and friendly. You don’t see that a lot anymore but you could tell he genuinely wanted you to have a great experience.
I peeked at the sushi chef and was amused and amazed at how carefully he crafted our caterpillar roll. You could tell he takes great pride in what he does.
When I’m back in Charolette this will definitely be my go to spot and I encourage everyone to give it a try!
This place needs to get noticed. The fish is fresh and so tasty. I love the tuna sashimi and the spicy scallops hand rolls (cone shaped rolls). The rolls are delicious and so is the ramen. I’ve dined in once and had take out once. Both times the food was amazing. The sushi chefs are very nice and will appeal to your taste and preferences. The chefs are great to talk to and remember and recognize you. The first time I ate there I showed them pictures of my deep sea fishing trips.
Very good sushi this evening, nicely presented and fresh. We had a delightful meal, even if it was rather non-traditional maki.
Seaweed salad to start was a big portion that Mrs. K. and I shared. Followed by four rolls. "Mango Tango" had a sweet sauce and while it was good, I'd choose something else next time. Two "Crunchy California" rolls topped with flakes, spicy mayo and a sweet soy sauce. Tops was the "Lollipop," tuna, yellowtail, salmon, crab and avocado topped with spicy soy and in a thin cucumber wrap.
It's not a super fancy restaurant but it's quiet and comfortable and we had fun.
Good food and very kind server in a quiet neighborhood location. Many of the orders to this restaurant are for pickup as the inside has only 7 tables and can handle a group of no more than six.
Recent inflation has pushed prices higher which may strain affordability for some families.
Food was well prepared and the menu provides a moderate diversity of sushi offerings and flavor combinations for maki (roll) sushi.
