I'm vacationing in Charlotte...I ordered some Bum's Rum Cakes, and Lynn, the owner was dropping them off at the brewery for me to pick up. I arrived 30+ mins early, and I was surprised by how nice and cozy this brewery is. This brewery has a small room where customers can play board games. There are 2 video game stations. I visited their website and wanted to get the Ginger's Revenge ginger beer to go. Unfortunately, the one they have was not the same one I found on their website, but I did buy 2 bottles to go. They also had canned cider. The owner was very nice and informative. He gave me some honey beer to try. It was very light and reminded me of light honey water. The owner answered all my questions and ended up keeping me company until Lynn arrived with the rum cakes. I'm really glad that this was a rum cake pick up location. Otherwise, I wouldn't have driven out to this brewery and wouldn't have gained a great and memorable experience. I enjoyed reading the Batman signs in the ladies bathroom. Too funny!!
Nice little brewery.
A bit tucked away from the main road, so it may not be easy to spot from the road, but there are signs directing you, so look for those when driving.
Their beer is always changing, so you're bound to find something new and something up your alley.
This brewery is incredibly close to work, so I decided to schedule our last happy hour there to try it out. It's in an interesting location. It's back in a kind of industrial area and you can't see it from the road. It almost looks like it's in an empty strip mall. There are signs on the road pointing you in the right direction.
This brewery is definitely operating a little under the radar still. We were a pretty big group, but we were almost the only ones there. It's not a huge space, but they do have two rooms with tables.
My favorite part was all of the board games they have as entertainment. We had a lot of fun playing while we socialized. Everyone seemed to enjoy the beer as well. They don't really have food except a few snacks.
If you're looking for a quieter brewery to relax and enjoy some time hanging out with friends, this is a great place to come. They also have a geeky trivia night that sounds like it would be fun.
I loved this place. We went for Trivia and had a blast. We ended up coming in second with the bartender coming in first! You win a pint of your choice for first place. The trivia wasn't impossible like other trivia so you could still feel smart and the categories were broad and for everyone. They also have old games to play on the Nintendo 64 like Mario Karts and Yoshi. The decor is nerdy themed which I liked and they really hold true to what they say in their bio online!
This was a fun little beer & brewery find!
You would never know it was there unless you were actually looking for it because of the location, but totally worth the extra GPS effort!
Very cool vibe, with neat decor and ambiance! They even have board games to play!
Beer offerings were good as well. I did a flight and each beer was pretty true to its style. The flight was fairly priced as well.
Got to talk with the owner a bit, he's a jovial and interesting guy! They seem to have a lot of events, so check out their webpage and social media for updates.
Will def be back with some friends to introduce them to this place!
Awesome spot! Amazing staff and great beer. I went for Supernatural trivia and had a blast. Best of all they have Nintendo games! I felt like I was at home. Way to get it right Thirsty Nomad. Kudos! I will be returning.
Nice little brewery with a very chill atmosphere and friendly staff. Their beer selection is diverse with some great standards and some very unique one off beers (such as pickle, which was actually really good). A big plus is that there is a number of board games and video game consoles (N64, SNES Classic, etc) which is a great alternative to your standard sports bars. Check it out.
This place is my go to spot whenever I want to gather friends for beer and board games. Everyone here is so friendly and they have all sorts of different beers to try. I've celebrated birthdays and promotions here. And I thoroughly enjoy their trivia nights. The questions can be pretty difficult sometimes, but I always learn something I didn't know before about the tv show or movie. Their new music bingo is also a delight for those who have a wide range of music knowledge.
Sampled several interesting beer styles, all brewed on-site at this microbrewery tap room. It's a cozy place, often with events that engage the fun loving patrons. I've been here several times and there has been live music, art expos, and always good conversation at the bar.
A fun, low key hangout spot with uncommonly good news on tap. In my last visit, I tried a pomegranate cider and I can't say to many good things about it. The owner's a huge nerd and the decor reflects that. Definitely my new destination for drinks with work buddies.
