Not your fanciest place but they never claimed go be. Food was good. I prefer fresh not frozen fish (which they had trouble understanding this only means has never been frozen). Wife had whiting and fried wings it was great. I had meatloaf it was good too. I'm just really big on presentation and it looked like crumbled beef.
Our meals were great. However, no one cared for the desserts we purchased. Banana Pudding or the sweet potatoes pie.
Great home cooked meal.Customer service,not too good.
Ordered the flounder dinner after 8PM midweek, the fish was hot & very tasty! Also the homemade cole slaw was remarkably good!! Service was very friendly too
We had a five hour layover in Charlotte today so we asked local airport employees to recommend a place to eat. Floyd's was the popular choice. Only a 12 minute drive from the airport however as we pulled up to the location there were more than a few raised eyebrows at the fast food appearance of the restaurant. Not the best first impression. However, once inside we were greeted by friendly staff ready to take our orders (all nine of us). The food was delivered to our table fast and hot. The fried fish was excellent. The wings, a popular order with our group was the biggest hit. Six plump wings served hot out of the fryer. Greens, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and gravey, yams all excellent sides and very large portions. The price, more than reasonable. Highly recommend Floyd's the nexr time you're laying over in Charlotte.
I enjoyed the fish, cabbage, mac and cheese It was so good had to go back before i left charlott and had pork chops with the broccoli cssaroland mac and cheese again. And the young lady that took my order was really nice and polite...mm
Lovers of Soul Food / Home Style Cookin' should love this one. I had flounder, fried squash, and mac and cheese. All were hot, fresh, excellent. Employees were friendly and helpful. Thanks.
Man the meatloaf dinner with collard greens nd yam with corn bread nd it was fantastic. Then had the flounder dinner again with the amazing collard greens nd yams nd of course the corn bread nd again 5 *****. The service was great very friendly atmosphere i will definitely visiting again.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!! The fried pork chops are theeeeeeeeee BEST n town!!! Lawans soul food has NOTHING on Floyds!!! There collard greens and yams make your mouth water!!!! Delicious!!!!!!!!!
Food was good but greens cooked too long. Small portions not same as Milton Road. Mac & Cheese good. Employees very friendly.
I just went today and got me some collard greens and some pork chop all this stuff is homemade I went to know what he was on Tuckaseegee Road they move the freedom Shopping Center I went there the end and I'm going to mow Nation Ford Road please sir the best home cook meal you want to buy I can't help for overloading my plate when I order you can't beat it it just like Mama used to cook it if you go once you'll be hooked I'm telling you what is smothered pork chop beef stew candy yams Outlet take my advice and go to Floyd's I am Charles stra ite I'm telling you you won't be sorry you went once you go you enjoy yourself so trifluoride and you always go back home cooking in the city
