When the rainbow poke bowl came out it was like looking at a piece of art. Then it just got better as it was a different meal (for me anyway) and incredibly delicious. I highly recommend them to anyone in the area or definitely worth going a bit out of the way.
I thoroughly enjoyed the place and liked the idea that I can build my own poke bowl. However, the tuna portion of the bowl seemed on the slim side. Will definitely return! Liked the casual atmosphere, also. Want to try the lobster rolls next.
Came with a big group and had a ton of oysters, they were all fresh and delicious. The beer and wine selections were top notch. I had the shrimp roll and it was quite delicious. If you are looking for good fresh seafood this is the spot to go.
We were on a poke kick after all of the new places started opening in Charlotte so we decided to stop here and give it a try.
This one was unique compared to most other poke places because you order from the menu at the counter, but you don't see the ingredients when you're ordering and you don't watch them make it. They had a large variety of ingredients, but it was hard to order because I didn't know what several of them were. The person taking my order was helpful and tried to explain them to us.
We got our food quickly and really enjoyed it. The ingredients were high quality. They had most of the sauces on the table so you could try as many as you wanted.
The restaurant is fairly small inside, but there was plenty of seating for us. We sat at a large community table in the middle. In addition to poke, they have quite a few appetizer and seafood options.
I would recommend checking this place out if you are a fan of poke/seafood.
An appealing location in an old fish market serving nice fresh poke dished up in interesting bowls. Their iced coffee and fruit beverage of the day are always yummy. The main reason to visit is for a delicious and refreshing salad composed of various types of seaweed. Sadly it was not available this past visit; instead was served the basic radioactive green that you can get anywhere. Hopefully just a fluke or the ingredients were out of season.
I came here for lunch and had a poke rainbow bowl, it was really good and probably the best poke in Charlotte. The service was great! I asked the manager if their was anyway I could get a flank steak cooked to go for dinner and she made it happen! She was very helpful and went above and beyond for me. I will definitely be back.
I thought the flavors were excellent and tasted like Hawaiian poke that I've had before. The salmon was fresh and tasted great. I loved the serrano-jalepeño salad! Unfortunately, my first experience wasn't perfect. It took 45 - 50 minutes to receive my meal and the rice was undercooked. Kelly, the manager, did remove the food charge from our bill. I will go back and try it again.
We had so much fun here! The poke bowl thing, while not new to bigger, trendier cities, is just now gaining visibility in Charlotte. This place knocks it out of the park. I had the Rainbow, it was awesome!. Lots of great fish, plenty of "accessory" items, and sauce options on the table were all dee-lish. Delicious fishes. They also have half-shell oysters (4 options the night I was there), half price 4-7pm. It's also a seafood market, so we grabbed some shrimp to take home. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The on-duty manager Kelly was interested in her customers and appreciated our business. Only "ding" I'd give them is that beers seemed pricey (local Birdsong can for $7). Doesn't detract from my review.
Great seafood and relaxed place to get a nice lunch. The lobster rolls and lobster lollipops are must haves have. Plus a huge selection of beer, wine and free oysters.
Amazing food. It was brought out quick, the wagyu beef was delicious. I got the soba noodles, fruit, and wagyu beef and it was superb. The environment was pleasing and quite enjoyable. The rustic surroundings gave it a refreshing feeling. I will definitely come back here a lot
The food is absolutely delicious, the staff and the decor give off a vibe that makes you feel very welcomed, like a small diner in your hometown you've been going to for years. Would definitely recommend coming by any chance you get.
Just had my first Poke bowl and it was amazing. It was so fresh and flavorful. I loved the atmosphere of Hi Tide and the service was very friendly and fast. I was blown away by how good my dish was. My brother got a lobster roll and he said it was delicious. Also, the French fries were on point! I will definitely be bringing my wife here because she loves lobster rolls. I highly recommend this place...it is great!
